Used 2023 Chevrolet Equinox for Sale nearLexington, KY

How much does the 2023 Chevrolet Equinox cost?

Prices have softened 5.86% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 9,710 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing prices and trims.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Equinox a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Chevrolet Equinox earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.5/10 expert rating.

The model scores 7/10 across Form and function, Cost effectiveness, and Technology.

It stands out as a practical, affordable compact crossover with a ride quality advantage and easy-to-use technology, while still feeling straightforward rather than flashy. The trade-offs are clear: performance is fairly pedestrian, and the transmission can be irritating.

The model’s 36.0% good or great deal rate suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Equinox reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2023 Equinox is built around a practical formula that emphasizes everyday usability, and its updated braking system and easy-to-live-with controls support that impression. Its straightforward layout and sensible design also point to a vehicle that should be approachable for daily use.

The 1.5-liter turbocharged engine is the sole powertrain, and the six-speed automatic is part of the reason the driving experience can feel less polished than newer rivals. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the powertrain and road-noise compromises may matter more as mileage adds up.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Chevrolet Equinox?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re comparing multiple listings at similar prices. Focus on overall condition, since the Equinox’s value depends heavily on finding one that has been maintained well and not worn hard.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LS, LT, RS, and Premier trims differ in comfort and convenience equipment, with heated front seats and a heated steering wheel not included on the LS. The higher trims add more standard comfort features, so base-trim shoppers should pay close attention to equipment gaps.
• Powertrain: The Equinox uses a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 175 horsepower and 203 pound-feet of torque. It is the only powertrain, and the six-speed automatic can contribute to the model’s less energetic feel.
• Safety package: Standard driver assistance includes automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection and braking, lane-keeping assistance, lane-departure assistance, and automatic high beams. Chevrolet does not offer genuine level two autonomous driving technology.
• Infotainment: The LS, LT, and RS use a 7-inch touchscreen, while the Premier gets an 8-inch screen. All trims get wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto, and the system is designed to be simple and easy to use.
• Fuel efficiency: AWD models should return 24 mpg city, 30 highway, and 26 combined, while FWD models should return 26 city, 31 highway, and 28 combined.

Which 2023 Chevrolet Equinox trim should I buy?

The 2023 Chevrolet Equinox is offered in 4 trim levels: LS, LT, RS, and Premier.

Here's the short version:

• LS: This is the entry point, but you give up some comfort features that appear higher up the range, including heated front seats and a heated steering wheel. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the Equinox, but you should compare it carefully against the LT.
• LT: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more comfort and convenience without jumping all the way to the top of the lineup. If you want a balanced mix of price and equipment, this is the trim to focus on first.
• RS: This trim adds a sportier appearance and includes heated front seats as standard, while also keeping the Equinox’s easy-to-use tech and practical layout. It suits you if you want a more distinctive look without moving to the most expensive model.
• Premier: This is the most upscale version, with the 8-inch touchscreen and standard heated front seats and heated steering wheel. It is the right pick if you want the most comfort and the most complete feature set.

The safety package includes automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection and braking, lane-keeping assistance, lane-departure assistance, and automatic high beams across the lineup.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Chevrolet Equinox?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 36.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 9,710 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.86% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 86.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,126, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Chevrolet Equinox's resale value?

The current average of $21,126 sits slightly below last year's $22,442.

That price movement suggests the Equinox has softened enough to create a more buyer-friendly entry point today. For a future seller, that means resale value may depend more on condition, mileage, and trim than on broad market momentum.

Because the model is still popular and widely shopped, well-kept examples should remain easier to move than neglected ones. If you buy carefully now, you improve your odds of holding onto value later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Equinox safe?

The 2023 Chevrolet Equinox earns five-star ratings from NHTSA, but it also received a Poor rating in the IIHS moderate overlap front crash test and a Marginal score in the side-impact crash test.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard driver assistance includes automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection and braking, lane-keeping assistance, lane-departure assistance, and automatic high beams. Chevrolet does not offer genuine level two autonomous driving technology.

The weaker IIHS results are the main caveat to keep in mind if safety is a top priority.

Should I buy a 2023 Chevrolet Equinox or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 36.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.86% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds a little extra power, a more sophisticated braking system, and three new paint colors.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $18,858, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $21,126 average.
• It adds revised styling and wireless smartphone integration.

The bottom line: If you want the better-rounded version of this generation, the 2023 is the stronger pick because it brings useful updates and still offers good market availability. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2022 is the more budget-friendly alternative and still delivers the Equinox’s core strengths.
