Is the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette earns a 4.77/5 user rating, and our experts give it an 8.17/10 overall score.

The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 10/10.

Owners repeatedly praise its striking looks, powerful performance, and strong value for the money. The Corvette’s mid-engine layout also gives it a more exotic feel, while the broad appeal comes from its sharp handling and everyday usability relative to similarly dramatic sports cars.

The trade-offs are a cramped cockpit and a confusing interior layout, and the car also lacks modern advanced safety features.

For you, that means the Corvette makes the most sense if you want standout performance and presence without moving all the way into true exotic-car territory.

There are 40.1% good or great deals in the market, which suggests decent shopping opportunities.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette reliable?

Owners rate it 4.77/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a car that feels special, valuable, and impressive to live with over time, with many buyers emphasizing its strong performance and overall appeal. The review summary also highlights a sense of confidence in the car’s capability and desirability, which matters when you’re thinking about long-term ownership.

The Corvette’s performance tuning and straightforward V8 setup support a durable, familiar ownership experience, and the expert review describes it as a car that can make an average driver look like a professional.

If you buy used, your biggest long-term risk is less about the core concept and more about how hard the car was driven and how well it was maintained.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Chevrolet Corvette?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a sports car that may have seen spirited use. Focus on wear items, signs of track use, and whether the car’s equipment matches the trim and options you want. If you’re shopping a convertible, pay extra attention to roof operation and related components.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The 1LT gives you the core Corvette experience with 19-inch front wheels, 20-inch rear wheels, a fully digital instrument panel, leather upholstery, an 8-inch touchscreen, and a Bose 10-speaker stereo. The 2LT adds navigation, a performance data and video recorder, a 14-speaker Bose stereo, heated and ventilated seats, a heated steering wheel, wireless device charging, interior cargo nets, and a head-up display. The 3LT adds GT2 bucket seats and more soft-touch leather surfaces, making it the most upscale choice. If you want the best value, the 2LT is the sweet spot because it adds meaningful comfort and tech upgrades without jumping to the top trim.
• Powertrain: The Corvette uses a mid-mounted naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 with 490 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic and rear-wheel drive. The optional Performance Exhaust raises output to 495 hp and 470 lb-ft, and the Z51 Performance Package adds a performance rear-axle ratio, heavy-duty cooling, an electronic limited-slip differential, performance tires, and an upgraded rear spoiler.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes a backup camera, front- and side-impact airbags, and rear parking sensors. The 2LT adds blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and GM’s rear camera mirror. The car does not offer modern driver-assistance features such as forward-collision avoidance, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, or automatic high beams.
• Infotainment: You get an 8-inch touchscreen with Chevy’s Infotainment 3 system, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and a logical menu layout. The system is driver-focused and easy to use, and the digital gauge cluster changes with drive mode.
• Fuel efficiency: The base V8 returns 16 mpg city, 24 highway, 19 combined.

Which 2023 Chevrolet Corvette trim should I buy?

The 2023 Chevrolet Corvette is offered in 3 trim levels: 1LT, 2LT, 3LT.

Here's the short version:

• 1LT: This is the entry point, and it already gives you the core Corvette formula with the digital gauge cluster, leather upholstery, the 8-inch touchscreen, and the Bose 10-speaker stereo. Choose it if you want the lowest starting point and care most about the driving experience itself.
• 2LT: This is the best-value trim because it adds navigation, the performance data and video recorder, heated and ventilated seats, a heated steering wheel, wireless charging, a head-up display, and the 14-speaker Bose system. It also adds blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and the rear camera mirror, so it’s the trim most buyers should target.
• 3LT: This is the most luxurious version, with GT2 bucket seats and more soft-touch leather surfaces throughout the cabin. Pick it if you want the most upscale interior and are willing to pay for it.

The 2LT trim adds the key safety features, while the base 1LT does not.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Chevrolet Corvette?

It’s a buyer-friendly market if you’re ready to shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 40.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,422 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.78% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 92.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $77,473, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette's resale value?

The current average of $77,724 sits slightly below last year's $80,779.

That softer pricing can help you as a buyer now, but it also suggests future sellers may need to be realistic about asking prices. If the market continues to favor shoppers, resale values may stay under pressure unless a car is especially well equipped or exceptionally clean.

For you, the upside is that a lower entry price today can reduce depreciation risk later if you buy smart. Well-kept examples with desirable equipment should still draw attention from shoppers who want Corvette performance without paying new-car money.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.77/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette safe?

The Corvette earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

It comes standard with a backup camera, front- and side-impact airbags, and rear parking sensors, but it does not offer modern driver-assistance features such as forward-collision avoidance, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, or automatic high beams. The 2LT trim adds blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and GM’s rear camera mirror.

That means you should not expect the kind of active safety tech you’d find in many newer mainstream vehicles. If safety tech matters to you, the 2LT is the trim to prioritize, but even then the Corvette remains light on advanced driver assistance.

Should I buy a 2023 Chevrolet Corvette or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 40.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.78% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.77/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The mid-engine layout gives the Corvette a more exotic character while keeping it relatively attainable.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $67,611, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $77,724 average.
• It offers impressive performance and technology while still managing to be a decent value.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of market availability, softened pricing, and the latest version of this mid-engine Corvette formula, the 2023 is the better target. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2022 is the smarter value play, especially if you find one in clean condition with the equipment you want.
