Why it stands out
The 2023 Chevrolet Camaro stands out as a compact, rear-wheel-drive performance car that still offers coupe and convertible body styles, a choice of manual or automatic transmissions, and a range of engines that includes a turbocharged four-cylinder, a V6, and a Corvette-sourced V8. By this point in the sixth generation, Chevrolet had already given the Camaro a lighter, smaller, tauter, and more efficient platform than the previous version, and the car’s appeal still rested on its strong driving dynamics and broad performance range. For buyers who want a muscle car with real everyday usability, that combination of retro style and modern engineering is a major part of the Camaro’s identity.
For 2023, Chevrolet made no changes to the Camaro. That means the car carried forward the features that had already made the sixth generation appealing, including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity, with later models in the generation also adding a built-in wi-fi hotspot. The Camaro also remained available in a wide spread of trims and performance levels, from more accessible versions to the high-performance ZL1, which had returned to the lineup in 2017 with 650 horsepower and a 0-60 mph time of 3.4 seconds. At the same time, the Camaro’s drawbacks were still familiar: its interior was described as cheaply outfitted, and rear visibility was poor, which is especially worth considering if you plan to use it as a daily driver.

I just got a used 2018 Camaro at just over 100,000 miles that I found locally from CarGurus website, and it literally changed my life. Ive never owned a real sports car before, and the Camaro is something that has to be directly experienced to really understand how great it is. It handles as smooth as glass, and the 335 hp V6 has far more than enough power for anyone looking to add a hell of a lot of fun into their daily commute. The interior is incredible, and it feels like being in the cockpit of a stealth fighter jet while driving. The styling of this car, the 2018 LT1 with the RS package, is literally world class and it beats at least 98 percent of what I see on the road every day in looks alone. The only noticeable and infamous downside to this car is the lack of visibility to the rear and side blind spots, but if you are a careful driver youll get used to it quickly and you can compensate with more attentive driving. I cannot recommend this car enough if you want an affordable sports car with great handling that will turn heads. Dont miss out!

How much does the 2023 Chevrolet Camaro cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $39,504 |
| Year-Round Low | $34,947 |
| Year-Round High | $39,517 |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $37,778 |
| Change vs. Last Year | +4.57% |
Prices are up 4.57% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.
There are 1,332 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare before you buy.
Is the 2023 Chevrolet Camaro a good car?
Yes — the 2023 Chevrolet Camaro earns a 4.91/5 user rating, which points to very strong owner satisfaction.
Drivers consistently praise its performance, handling, and power, with many specifically calling out the V8 options. Reviewers also like the value and features, and some mention the sound system as a standout. For you, that means the Camaro makes the most sense if you want a rear-wheel-drive performance car with real everyday usability and a broad spread of trims and body styles.
With 34.0% of listings priced as good or great deals, there is still enough market opportunity to shop selectively.
Is the 2023 Chevrolet Camaro reliable?
Owners rate it 4.91/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The review summary points to a car that owners find dependable and worth counting on, especially when they focus on performance and value. That kind of feedback suggests the Camaro can be a satisfying long-term ownership choice if you buy a well-kept example.
For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the ownership experience and more about finding a car that has been maintained carefully and not abused.
What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Chevrolet Camaro?
Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
You should prioritize a history report first, then inspect the car closely for signs of prior damage, poor repairs, or hard use. Pay extra attention to overall condition, since a performance car can hide wear more easily than a typical commuter car. If possible, focus on examples that show consistent maintenance and clean cosmetic condition inside and out.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Chevrolet Camaro?
This is a moderate market, so you can buy now if you find the right car, but it still pays to be selective.
- Deal availability: 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 1,332 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices are up 4.57% year-over-year.
- Clean inventory: 81.6% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $34,947, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2023 Chevrolet Camaro's resale value?
The current average of $39,504 sits slightly above last year's $37,778.
That upward move suggests the Camaro is holding buyer interest well, which can help support resale value if you decide to sell later. A model year with steady demand and a relatively tight price range often gives sellers a better chance of recovering value, especially when the car is in clean condition and has a strong history.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.91/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2023 Chevrolet Camaro or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2023 if:
- 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
- Price trend: Prices are up 4.57% year-over-year.
- Owners rate it 4.91/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
The bottom line: If you want the Camaro with current-market appeal and strong owner approval, the 2023 is a solid primary target. If you are more price-sensitive, a nearby year may be worth considering, but the 2023 still offers a compelling mix of demand, inventory depth, and enthusiast appeal.
