How much does the 2023 Cadillac CT5 cost?

Prices have softened 3.05% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 864 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Cadillac CT5 a good car?

Generally — the 2023 Cadillac CT5 earns a 4.4/5 user rating and a 7.67/10 expert rating, which points to a well-liked sedan with broad appeal. The model scores 9/10 across Technology and Safety.

Drivers consistently praise its performance, handling, and comfort, along with the powerful acceleration and smooth ride. The overview also frames it as a distinctive midsize sedan for buyers who want personality and road feel rather than something anonymous.

The trade-offs are real: the expert feedback calls out a lack of refinement and limited isolation, and cargo space is also a drawback. Even so, the CT5’s style and driving character make it a strong fit if you value a luxury sedan with a more engaging personality. With 33.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Cadillac CT5 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a car that many drivers see as dependable and worth counting on, with praise centered on performance, handling, and comfort. The expert evaluation also suggests a durable, confidence-inspiring ownership experience through its strong driving dynamics and well-executed technology.

Cadillac’s maintenance coverage can help reduce early ownership friction when it applies, which is a useful perk for used buyers comparing total cost of ownership. For a used example, your biggest long-term risk is buying one that has been poorly maintained or driven hard, so condition and service history matter more than the badge.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Cadillac CT5?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on every candidate, even if the listing looks clean at first glance. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can check for wear, prior damage, and signs of hard use. Focus especially on cabin condition, ride quality, and any evidence that the car has been driven in a way that could amplify the CT5’s refinement issues.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The CT5-V adds a sportier setup and more equipment than the standard CT5, including a more performance-focused character and available Super Cruise hardware. The base model is the one most likely to leave you wanting more equipment if you care about advanced convenience and driver-assistance features.
• Powertrain: The CT5-V uses a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 with 360 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive, with AWD available. It also uses Active Fuel Management and is rated at 21 mpg in combined driving.
• Safety package: Every 2023 CT5 includes Cadillac Smart System with forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, a vibrating Safety Alert Seat, a rear-seat reminder, rear parking sensors, and Teen Driver monitoring. The CT5-V adds adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic rear braking, front parking sensors, a safe following distance indicator, Intellibeam automatic high beams, and Buckle to Drive. Super Cruise is optional and adds hands-free driving assistance, lane centering, lane-change capability, a driver monitoring camera, and a surround-view camera.
• Infotainment: The CT5-V includes a 10-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM 360L, OnStar and Cadillac Connected Access with a Wi-Fi hotspot, wireless smartphone charging, Alexa Built-in, natural voice recognition, and a Bose 15-speaker premium audio system. A 12-inch digital instrumentation display is available, and embedded navigation is optional.
• Fuel efficiency: The CT5-V is rated at 21 mpg combined, and the test vehicle returned 19.5 mpg on a mixed evaluation loop.

Which 2023 Cadillac CT5 trim should I buy?

The 2023 Cadillac CT5 is offered in 3 trim levels: CT5, CT5-V, CT5-V Blackwing.

Here's the short version:

• CT5: This is the entry point, and it makes the CT5’s style and core luxury-sedan appeal accessible at the lowest price. It’s the trim to consider if you want the design and nameplate without paying for the sportier hardware and extra tech that come with the higher trims.
• CT5-V: This is the best-value trim if you want the strongest blend of performance, technology, and everyday usability. It adds the twin-turbo V6, more advanced driver assistance, and the kind of equipment that makes the CT5 feel properly premium.
• CT5-V Blackwing: This is the enthusiast choice for buyers who want the most serious performance character in the lineup. It sits above the CT5-V and is the trim to target if outright driving excitement matters more than value.

The CT5-V also gets the more complete safety and driver-assistance package, while Super Cruise remains an optional upgrade.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Cadillac CT5?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 864 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.05% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 85.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $33,816, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Cadillac CT5's resale value?

The current average of $35,208 sits slightly below last year's $36,316.

That softer pricing suggests the CT5 has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right number. If you shop near the lower end of the range, you reduce the chance of taking a bigger hit later. The model’s distinctive styling and strong tech appeal should help keep it relevant with used buyers who want something different from the usual luxury-sedan choices.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Cadillac CT5 safe?

The 2023 Cadillac CT5 earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Every 2023 CT5 includes Cadillac Smart System, which brings forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, a vibrating Safety Alert Seat, a rear-seat reminder, rear parking sensors, and Teen Driver monitoring. The CT5-V adds adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic rear braking, front parking sensors, a safe following distance indicator, Intellibeam automatic high beams, and Buckle to Drive.

Super Cruise is the standout available safety and driver-assistance upgrade. It adds hands-free driving assistance, lane centering, lane-change capability, a driver monitoring camera, and a surround-view camera. The main caveat is that it is still a driver-assistance system, so you need to stay alert and ready to take over.

Should I buy a 2023 Cadillac CT5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.05% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It stands out for stylish design, great handling, and impressive technology.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $38,458, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $35,208 average.
• It carries over unchanged and remains a decent value.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2023 if you want the better price and a strong mix of style, tech, and driving enjoyment. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer model year, the 2024 is the cleaner alternative, but price-sensitive buyers are likely better served by the 2023.
