How much does the 2023 Cadillac CT5 cost?

Prices have softened 2.25% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 866 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Cadillac CT5 a good car?

Generally — the 2023 Cadillac CT5 earns a 4.4/5 from owners and a 7.67/10 from our experts. The model scores 9/10 across Technology and Safety.

Drivers consistently praise its performance, handling, and comfort, and the CT5 also gets credit for strong acceleration and a smooth ride. The CT5’s stylish design and impressive technology are recurring strengths, too.

The trade-offs are clear: it lacks refinement and isolation, and it does not offer much cargo space. That makes it a better fit if you want a sedan with personality and driving enjoyment rather than maximum practicality.

With a moderate market verdict and a value story that leans on style and tech, it suits you best if you want a distinctive luxury sedan that feels more engaging than purely utilitarian. Good and great deals account for 33.0% of listings, so there’s still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Cadillac CT5 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car that feels dependable in daily use, with strong performance and comfort showing up again and again in the reviews. That kind of consistency matters if you want a used luxury sedan you can count on over time.

The expert notes also support that impression by emphasizing the CT5’s solid driving character and well-executed technology. Cadillac’s first scheduled maintenance visit is on the house, which helps early ownership costs.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the CT5’s appeal depends on finding one that has been cared for well, since refinement and isolation are not its strongest traits.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Cadillac CT5?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any candidate, even if the listing looks clean at first glance. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks for signs of hard use, because this car’s appeal depends heavily on condition. Focus on whether the cabin, ride quality, and overall presentation match the seller’s claims.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The CT5-V is the sporty version of the midsize luxury sedan, with a twin-turbo V6, 19-inch wheels, and a more aggressive setup than the standard CT5. The base model is priced much lower, while the CT5-V Blackwing sits far above it, so you should compare equipment carefully before deciding which version fits your budget and priorities.
• Powertrain: The CT5-V uses a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 with 360 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive, with AWD available. It also uses Active Fuel Management cylinder deactivation and is rated at 21 mpg in combined driving.
• Safety package: Every CT5 gets Cadillac Smart System, which includes forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, a vibrating Safety Alert Seat, a rear-seat reminder, rear parking sensors, and Teen Driver monitoring technology. The CT5-V adds adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic rear braking, front parking sensors, a safe following distance indicator, and Intellibeam automatic high-beam headlights. Super Cruise 1 adds Cadillac’s hands-free driving assistance system, lane-centering, lane-change capability, a driver monitoring camera, a 12-inch digital instrumentation panel, and a surround-view camera.
• Infotainment: The CT5-V includes a 10-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM 360L, OnStar and Cadillac Connected Access with a Wi-Fi hotspot, wireless smartphone charging, Alexa Built-in, natural voice recognition, and a Bose 15-speaker premium audio system. An available 12-inch digital instrumentation display and optional embedded navigation add more capability.
• Fuel efficiency: The CT5-V returns 21 mpg in combined driving, and the test loop returned 19.5 mpg.

Which 2023 Cadillac CT5 trim should I buy?

The 2023 Cadillac CT5 is offered in 3 trim levels: CT5, CT5-V, CT5-V Blackwing.

Here's the short version:

• CT5: This is the entry point if you want the CT5’s styling and core luxury-sedan character at the lowest price. It makes the most sense if you care more about the design, tech, and overall value story than about the extra performance hardware in the higher trims.
• CT5-V: This is the best-value trim if you want the strongest balance of power, handling, and equipment. It adds the twin-turbo V6, more aggressive chassis tuning, and a richer feature set, while still staying far below the Blackwing’s price.
• CT5-V Blackwing: This is the choice if you want the most extreme performance version and are willing to pay for it. It sits at the top of the range and is the trim for buyers who want the most serious driving experience in the lineup.

Every 2023 CT5 includes Cadillac Smart System, while the CT5-V adds a broader set of driver-assistance features and Super Cruise 1 is available as an upgrade.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Cadillac CT5?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 866 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.25% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 84.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $33,880, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Cadillac CT5's resale value?

The current average of $35,690 sits slightly below last year's $36,510.

That softer pricing suggests the CT5 has become a little easier to buy than it was a year ago, which can help you on the front end. For a future seller, that also means resale value may depend more on condition, mileage, and trim than on broad market momentum.

Because the model still has strong owner satisfaction and a distinctive appeal, it should remain attractive to shoppers who want a stylish luxury sedan with personality. Well-kept examples are likely to hold buyer interest better than neglected ones.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Cadillac CT5 safe?

The 2023 Cadillac CT5 earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Every 2023 CT5 has Cadillac Smart System, which includes forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, a vibrating Safety Alert Seat, a rear-seat reminder, rear parking sensors, and Teen Driver monitoring technology. The CT5-V adds adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic rear braking, front parking sensors, a safe following distance indicator, and Intellibeam automatic high-beam headlights.

The optional Super Cruise 1 Package adds Cadillac’s hands-free driving assistance system, along with lane-centering, lane-change capability, a driver monitoring camera, a 12-inch digital instrumentation panel, and a surround-view camera. It is impressive technology, but you still need to stay alert and ready to take over.

Should I buy a 2023 Cadillac CT5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.25% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It blends stylish design, sharp handling, and impressive technology into a distinctive midsize sedan.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $38,521, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $35,690 average.
• It carries over unchanged and remains a decent value.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2023 if you want the better price and a strong mix of style, tech, and driving character. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2023 is the smarter buy; if you want the newer model year and don’t mind paying more, the 2024 is the alternative.
