Is the 2023 BMW X6 a good car?

The 2023 BMW X6 stands out because it blends coupe-like styling with the hardware and technology of BMW’s midsize luxury SUV lineup. For 2023, it offers strong performance and a high level of equipment, including two 12.3-inch displays, navigation, adaptive LED headlights, blind-spot monitors, forward emergency braking, lane-departure warning, heated front seats, and a panoramic moonroof.

That makes it a fit if you want a luxury crossover that feels more distinctive and performance-focused than ordinary. The tradeoff is less practical cargo room than a traditional SUV, so you should value style and driving character as much as utility. 38.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 BMW X6 reliable?

The 2023 BMW X6 is presented as a well-equipped luxury SUV with a sporty mechanical setup, including adaptive dampers standard and an eight-speed automatic on all trims. It also brings a strong feature set and useful capability for its shape, including towing capacity of 7,200 pounds and cargo space of 27.4 cubic feet behind the rear seats.

For used buyers, the long-term ownership risk is less about outright complexity than about making sure the vehicle has been maintained properly and hasn’t been neglected in ways that could make premium repairs more expensive later.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 BMW X6?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should also prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can check for wear, prior repairs, and any signs that the vehicle’s premium equipment has not been cared for properly. Focus on overall condition, service history, and whether the car’s features and drivability match the seller’s description.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 BMW X6?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 38.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 527 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.99% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 85.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $50,361, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 BMW X6's resale value?

The current average of $50,361 sits slightly below last year's $57,883.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you as a buyer today but may also mean future resale gains are more limited if you own the vehicle for only a short time. If you plan to sell later, the X6’s appeal will likely depend on condition, mileage, and how well it holds up against newer alternatives. For a future seller, a clean history and strong maintenance record should matter a lot.

Should I buy a 2023 BMW X6 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 38.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.99% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2023 is a strong choice if you want the X6’s style, performance, and equipment without paying new-car pricing. If you’re more price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby model years and focus on the best-maintained example rather than the newest badge.
