How much does the 2023 BMW M2 cost?

There are 169 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2023 BMW M2 a good car?

Yes — the 2023 BMW M2 earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.3/10 expert rating. The model scores 10/10 across Performance and Technology.

The 2023 BMW M2 is aimed at you if you want a rear-wheel-drive, straight-six sports car that still works as an everyday coupe. Its blistering acceleration, scalpel-like handling, functional cockpit, and actually-usable trunk make it more versatile than many performance cars. The trade-offs are a stiff ride in normal driving and a bit of effort to enter and exit the vehicle.

Good and great deals account for 33.1% of listings, which suggests there are still some attractive opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2023 BMW M2 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2023 BMW M2 is built around a focused performance formula, but it still includes the kind of everyday hardware that helps ownership feel manageable. Its easy-to-use technology and practical cabin layout support day-to-day livability, while the performance setup is engineered for strong driver engagement. The dependability picture is strongest for buyers who value a well-sorted enthusiast car and are willing to accept the compromises that come with that mission.

If you buy used, the main long-term ownership risk is that the car’s performance-first tuning and tight packaging can make wear, comfort, and upkeep more noticeable than in a softer, less specialized coupe.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 BMW M2?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and verify that the car’s condition matches its mileage and asking price. A pre-purchase inspection is especially useful here because the M2’s performance hardware and low-slung coupe layout make it important to check for signs of hard use, curb rash, or cosmetic wear. Focus on the ride quality, cabin condition, and whether the car’s equipment matches what you expect from the trim and options.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The standard M2 already brings a strong equipment list, including heated front seats, Vernasca leather upholstery, power-adjustable front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, push-button start, and a power sunroof. The available Carbon Package adds carbon-fiber interior trim, carbon-fiber paddle shifters, an M Carbon roof, and M Carbon bucket seats, but it also deletes the sunroof.
• Powertrain: The car uses a twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine with 453 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque. You can choose either a six-speed manual transmission with rev-matching or an eight-speed automatic, and an Active M limited-slip differential is standard.
• Safety package: Standard driver assistance includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, pedestrian and cyclist detection, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, traffic sign recognition, front and rear parking sensors, and rain-sensing windshield wipers. The available Lighting Package adds automatic high beams and adaptive LED headlights, and active cruise control is available only with the automatic transmission.
• Infotainment: The curved display pairs a 10.25-inch touchscreen with a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument panel. Wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto are included, and the system also supports voice control and a rotary controller.
• Fuel efficiency: The manual gets 16 mpg city, 24 mpg highway, and 19 mpg combined. The automatic gets 16 mpg city, 23 mpg highway, and 19 mpg combined.

Which 2023 BMW M2 trim should I buy?

The 2023 BMW M2 is offered in 1 trim level: M2.

Here's the short version:

The M2 is the one to buy because it already delivers the core experience: the 453-horsepower inline-six, rear-wheel drive, standard limited-slip differential, easy-to-use tech, and a strong safety feature set. If you want the best-value path, start here and only add options if you specifically want the carbon-fiber roof, bucket seats, or other appearance and convenience upgrades.

The safety package is strong at the standard level, and the available Lighting Package and active cruise control are useful add-ons if you want more convenience.

What is the 2023 BMW M2's resale value?

The current average of $63,557 sits slightly below last year's $63,851.

That small decline suggests the market has been fairly stable rather than volatile. For you as a future seller, that can be a positive sign because it points to predictable pricing instead of a sharp drop. If the car stays in strong condition and remains desirable with shoppers, it should continue to hold attention in the used market.

Should I buy a 2023 BMW M2 or consider a different year?

• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
