Used 2022 Toyota Venza for Sale nearDurham, NC

How much does the 2022 Toyota Venza cost?

Prices have softened 3.10% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 790 listings available, which gives you a meaningful pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2022 Toyota Venza a good car?

Yes — you’re looking at a model with a 4.71/5 user rating and an 8.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, quiet ride, and fuel efficiency, and many also like the upscale interior feel and smooth driving experience. The Venza’s distinctive design is another recurring positive, especially if you want something that feels less conventional than a typical midsize SUV.

The main trade-offs are its unintuitive technology and limited cargo space, which can matter if you want maximum practicality. In use-case terms, it makes the most sense if you value efficiency, refinement, and standard all-wheel drive more than outright utility.

Only 35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market is selective rather than flooded with bargains.

Is the 2022 Toyota Venza reliable?

Owners rate it 4.71/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with repeated praise for comfort and fuel efficiency that tends to go hand in hand with steady day-to-day satisfaction. The expert evaluation reinforces that impression by describing the hybrid setup as transparent in operation and requiring no special attention to work.

Toyota’s hybrid system is presented as straightforward to live with, and the vehicle’s shared-platform engineering supports long vehicle viability. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the powertrain concept and more about whether the specific example has been maintained well and still feels fresh inside.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Toyota Venza?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because accident-free listings are strong but not universal. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the hybrid system, electronics, and interior condition, since the Venza’s appeal depends heavily on how well its comfort and technology hold up over time.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LE and XLE come with an eight-inch touchscreen, while the Limited gets a 12.3-inch touchscreen and a nine-speaker JBL audio system; the base setup is simpler, and the Limited adds more upscale equipment.
• Powertrain: You get a 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder gasoline engine with three electric motors and 219 combined horsepower, plus EV operation for short distances and Normal, Eco, and Sport drive modes.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, daytime bicycle detection, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure alert with steering assist, automatic high beams, lane tracing assist, and road-sign assist; blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert is standard on all trim levels.
• Infotainment: LE and XLE models use an eight-inch touchscreen with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Amazon Alexa, Bluetooth, AM/FM/HD Radio, SiriusXM, and Toyota Connected Services; the Limited upgrades to a 12.3-inch touchscreen.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA estimates up to 40 mpg city, 37 highway, and 39 combined, and the hybrid setup is designed to deliver well over 500 miles from a tank.

Which 2022 Toyota Venza trim should I buy?

The 2022 Toyota Venza is offered in 3 trim levels: LE, XLE, Limited.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the value-focused choice if you want the Venza’s standard hybrid powertrain, standard all-wheel drive, and core safety tech without paying for extras you may not need. It’s the best-value trim for most shoppers.
• XLE: This is the smart step up if you want more convenience and a more upscale feel, including the larger 7-inch instrument cluster display and available audio upgrades.
• Limited: This is the trim to choose if you want the most premium Venza experience, with the 12.3-inch touchscreen, JBL audio system, navigation, and available Advanced Technology Package.

The standard safety suite is strong across the lineup, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is standard on every trim.

• Inventory: There are 790 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.10% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 82.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $27,403, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Toyota Venza's resale value?

The current average of $28,700 sits slightly below last year's $29,618.

That softer pricing suggests the Venza has become a bit more buyer-friendly in the near term, which can help you if you’re shopping now. For a future seller, the current trend means you should expect some pressure on resale if the market stays soft.

Even so, the Venza’s efficiency, standard all-wheel drive, and strong owner satisfaction should help it remain appealing to used shoppers. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.71/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Toyota Venza or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.10% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.71/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines standard hybrid efficiency with standard all-wheel drive and strong safety coverage.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $26,982, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $28,700 average.
• It offers a refined, efficient crossover with standard hybrid power and all-wheel drive.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $32,981, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $28,700 average.
• It adds a sharper, more upscale look with a luxury-leaning cabin.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, efficiency, and standard all-wheel drive, the 2022 is the primary path to consider. If you’re especially price-sensitive, the 2021 is worth a look; if you want a newer-feeling presentation and can spend more, the 2023 is the alternative to compare.
