Used 2022 Toyota Venza for Sale nearBuffalo, NY

How much does the 2022 Toyota Venza cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 797 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2022 Toyota Venza a good car?

Yes — it earns a 4.7/5 user rating and an 8.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, quiet ride, and fuel efficiency, and many also like its upscale interior feel and smooth driving experience. The Venza’s standard all-wheel drive and hybrid setup fit buyers who want efficiency and traction without giving up refinement.

The main trade-offs are its unintuitive technology and polarizing design, and some owners also wish for more cargo space. Even so, the Venza’s value proposition is strongest if you want a comfortable, efficient two-row SUV with a more premium feel than its price suggests.

With 37.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Toyota Venza reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience centered on comfort, efficiency, and a vehicle many drivers feel good about keeping long term. The expert evaluation also emphasizes that the hybrid setup is transparent in operation and requires no special attention to work.

That kind of low-drama hybrid ownership is a plus for used buyers, though you should still expect normal wear items and verify maintenance history before you commit.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Toyota Venza?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any candidate, even if the listing looks clean, and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection if the vehicle has incomplete records or visible wear. Focus on condition, maintenance consistency, and whether the features you want are actually present on the trim you’re considering.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LE and XLE come with an eight-inch touchscreen, while the Limited adds a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a nine-speaker JBL audio system, and navigation. The base setup is simpler, so if you want the richer tech and audio experience, you’ll want to shop higher in the range.
• Powertrain: The Venza uses a 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder gasoline engine with three electric motors for 219 horsepower combined. It also offers EV operation for short distances and drive modes that let you tailor the hybrid system’s behavior.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, daytime bicycle detection, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure alert with steering assist, automatic high beams, lane tracing assist, and road-sign assist. Blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert is standard on all trim levels, while front and rear parking assist with automated braking is limited to XLE and Limited models.
• Infotainment: The LE and XLE use an eight-inch touchscreen with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Amazon Alexa capability, Bluetooth, SiriusXM, and Toyota Connected Services. The Limited gets a 12.3-inch touchscreen, and the available Advanced Technology Package adds a head-up display and rain-sensing windshield wipers.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA estimates up to 40 mpg city, 37 highway, and 39 combined fuel economy, and the hybrid setup is designed to avoid charging hassles while still delivering strong range.

Which 2022 Toyota Venza trim should I buy?

The 2022 Toyota Venza is offered in 3 trim levels: LE, XLE, and Limited.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the entry point, but it still gives you the Venza’s core appeal: hybrid efficiency, standard all-wheel drive, and the full safety suite. It makes the most sense if you want the Venza experience at the lowest price.
• XLE: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more comfort and convenience without jumping all the way to the top. If you want a stronger mix of equipment and price, this is the trim to target.
• Limited: This is the one to choose if you want the most upscale Venza, with the larger 12.3-inch touchscreen, JBL audio, navigation, and available Advanced Technology Package. It suits you best if you care most about premium features and tech.

Front and rear parking assist with automated braking is standard on XLE and Limited models, so those trims add an extra layer of convenience and safety.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Toyota Venza?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting a deep buyer’s market.

• Deal availability: 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 797 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 80.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $27,328, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Toyota Venza's resale value?

The current average of $29,130 sits slightly below last year's $29,219.

That small decline suggests the Venza has been holding value fairly well rather than swinging sharply in either direction. For a future seller, that kind of stability is helpful because it points to a market that remains familiar with the model’s strengths.

Its combination of efficiency, standard all-wheel drive, and strong owner satisfaction should help keep demand steady. If you maintain it well and keep the history clean, you’re in a better position to protect resale value over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Toyota Venza safe?

The 2022 Toyota Venza earns a Top Safety Pick rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and five-star ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, daytime bicycle detection, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure alert with steering assist, automatic high beams, lane tracing assist, and road-sign assist. Blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert is also standard on all trim levels.

XLE and Limited models add front and rear parking assist with automated braking, and Limited models also get fog lamps. That means the safety package is strong across the lineup, with the higher trims adding more convenience-oriented protection.

Should I buy a 2022 Toyota Venza or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines standard all-wheel drive with strong hybrid efficiency and a premium feel.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $26,429, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $29,130 average.
• It offers standard all-wheel drive and a more premium feel than a typical Toyota.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $32,600, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $29,130 average.
• It leans into style, comfort, and fuel economy with a luxury-leaning interior.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price stability, strong owner satisfaction, and a well-rounded feature set, the 2022 is the primary path to consider. If your budget is tighter, the 2021 is the better price-sensitive alternative, while the 2023 makes sense if you’re willing to pay more for a newer model-year experience.
