Used 2022 Toyota Camry for Sale nearPittsburgh, PA

How much does the 2022 Toyota Camry cost?

Prices have softened 2.87% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,218 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for comparison shopping.

Is the 2022 Toyota Camry a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Toyota Camry earns a 4.9/5 user rating and a 7.2/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its reliability, fuel efficiency, and stylish design, and they also call out the comfortable interior and strong value for money. The overview frames it as a roomy, reliable, efficient, safe, and affordable sedan, which fits the way it’s positioned for shoppers who still want a practical car. The main trade-offs are the outdated technology and the four-cylinder engine’s lack of power, so you may want to prioritize the V6 if you want more punch. Good and great deals account for 35.0% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Toyota Camry reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to reliability, being trouble-free, and a car you can count on over the long term. The expert evaluation also describes it as reliable and efficient, reinforcing that this is a sedan built for dependable everyday use. Toyota’s complimentary scheduled maintenance for the first two years of ownership adds a helpful ownership perk. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about core durability and more about finding a well-kept example with the right maintenance history.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Toyota Camry?

At 66.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. A pre-purchase inspection is especially important if you’re considering a higher-mileage car or one with a lower asking price. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and whether the technology and driver-assistance systems work as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Camry TRD stands apart with its aggressive body kit, matte-black 19-inch wheels, red accents, and sport-focused appearance, while the base setup is more straightforward and less richly equipped. The TRD also lacks a folding rear seat, which is worth checking if you need maximum cargo flexibility.
• Powertrain: You can choose a four-cylinder, a V6, or a gas-electric hybrid setup. The V6 in the TRD delivers strong acceleration and a more energetic driving feel, while the four-cylinder is the one owners sometimes describe as underpowered.
• Safety package: Every 2022 Camry gets Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+, including adaptive cruise control and lane-centering assistance. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is standard on the TRD but optional on LE and SE.
• Infotainment: The TRD comes with a standard 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Amazon Alexa, and SiriusXM. A 9-inch touchscreen is available, but dynamic connected navigation and voice recognition are not offered on the TRD.
• Fuel efficiency: The TRD is rated at 25 mpg combined, and the test loop returned 24.8 mpg. The hybrid lineup is described as capable of more than 50 mpg in combined driving.

Which 2022 Toyota Camry trim should I buy?

The 2022 Toyota Camry is offered in 13 trim levels: LE, XLE, SE, SE Nightshade Edition, XSE, TRD, and the hybrid versions referenced in the model overview.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the entry point, so it makes the most sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the Camry lineup and care most about value and core safety equipment.
• XLE: Choose this if you want a more upscale feel and are willing to pay more for comfort-oriented equipment.
• SE: This is the best-value pick for many shoppers because it balances price, style, and everyday usability without moving into the TRD’s niche character.
• SE Nightshade Edition: Pick this if you want the SE formula with a darker appearance package and a more distinctive look.
• XSE: This is the right choice if you want the sportier, more upscale end of the non-TRD lineup.
• TRD: Buy this if you want the V6, the track-tuned suspension, and the most performance-focused Camry experience; it’s the enthusiast choice, but it gives up some practicality.

Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is standard on the TRD and optional on LE and SE.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Toyota Camry?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 35.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,218 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.87% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 66.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $22,361, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Toyota Camry's resale value?

The current average of $22,834 sits slightly below last year's $23,510.

That softer pricing suggests the Camry has already absorbed some of its near-term depreciation, which can help future sellers if the market stays steady. A lower current entry price can also support demand from used buyers who want a well-known sedan without paying new-car money. If you keep the car in good condition and maintain it well, you’re more likely to preserve value when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Toyota Camry safe?

The 2022 Toyota Camry gets a “Top Safety Pick+” rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and five-star ratings in every single evaluation the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) performs.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Every 2022 Camry includes Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+, with adaptive cruise control and lane-centering assistance as highlights. Toyota also includes Safety Connect, which adds automatic collision notification, an emergency assistance button, roadside assistance access, and a stolen vehicle locator. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is standard on the TRD and optional on LE and SE. One caveat is that the lane-keeping and adaptive cruise systems can feel overly assertive or occasionally overreact to road conditions.

Should I buy a 2022 Toyota Camry or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 35.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 66.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.87% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines strong value, standard advanced safety features, and an available V6 for buyers who want more performance.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $21,592, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $22,834 average.
• It offers broad configuration choice and remains a dependable all-rounder.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger overall package, the 2022 is the better target because it pairs solid pricing with strong owner satisfaction and a useful performance option. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2021 is the better value-oriented alternative.
