Used 2022 Toyota Camry for Sale nearKalamazoo, MI

How much does the 2022 Toyota Camry cost?

Prices have softened 2.52% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,347 listings available, which suggests you should have a healthy range of choices.

Is the 2022 Toyota Camry a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Toyota Camry earns a 4.9/5 user rating and a 7.2/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its reliability, fuel efficiency, and stylish design, and they also value the comfortable interior and strong value for money. The main trade-offs are that the four-cylinder engine can feel short on power, and some shoppers want more advanced tech features.

For you, that means the Camry makes the most sense if you want a roomy, efficient, and dependable sedan rather than a flashy one. Good and great deals account for 30.6% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Toyota Camry reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback repeatedly points to reliability, dependability, and a trouble-free ownership experience, with many drivers saying it is a car they can count on. The expert evaluation also describes it as a comfortable, affordable, reliable, safe, and efficient family car, and Toyota includes complimentary scheduled maintenance for the first two years of ownership.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about core durability and more about finding a well-kept example with the features and condition you want.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Toyota Camry?

At 69.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-mileage or lower-priced car. Focus on condition, prior damage, and whether the equipment level matches what you expect, since some trims differ meaningfully in comfort and convenience.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Camry lineup includes a base LE, and higher trims add more equipment and style; the TRD stands out with a more aggressive look, but it does not feature a folding rear seat.
• Powertrain: You can choose a four-cylinder, a V6, or a gas-electric hybrid powertrain, and the V6 is the standout for stronger performance.
• Safety package: Every 2022 Camry has Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+, which includes adaptive cruise control and lane-centering assistance; blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is standard on the TRD and optional on LE and SE.
• Infotainment: The TRD comes with a standard 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Amazon Alexa, SiriusXM satellite radio, Safety Connect, and WiFi Connect; a 9-inch screen is optional.
• Fuel efficiency: The TRD is rated at 25 mpg in combined driving, and the test loop returned 24.8 mpg.

Which 2022 Toyota Camry trim should I buy?

The 2022 Toyota Camry is offered in 13 trim levels: LE, XLE, SE, SE Nightshade Edition, XSE, TRD, and the hybrid variants mentioned in the model-year content.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the value-focused starting point, and it makes sense if you want the Camry’s core strengths without paying for extras.
• SE: This is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it sits lower in the lineup but still gives you a more appealing look and a strong balance of equipment and price.
• SE Nightshade Edition: Choose this if you want the SE formula with a darker appearance package.
• XLE: This is the better pick if you want a more upscale, comfort-oriented Camry.
• XSE: This is the right choice if you want a sportier feel and a more premium presentation.
• TRD: Pick this only if you want the most performance-focused Camry; it adds the V6, track-tuned hardware, and aggressive styling, but it also comes with some compromises.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+ is standard across the lineup, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is standard on the TRD but optional on LE and SE.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Toyota Camry?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 30.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,347 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.52% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 69.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $22,361, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Toyota Camry's resale value?

The current average of $22,977 sits slightly below last year's $23,571.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle, but it also means future resale gains may be more modest if the market stays soft. For you as a seller, the key advantage is that the Camry’s broad appeal should help it remain easy to move when it is clean, well maintained, and properly equipped.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Toyota Camry safe?

The 2022 Toyota Camry earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS and five-star ratings in every single evaluation the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration performs.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Every 2022 Camry has Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+, which includes adaptive cruise control and lane-centering assistance, and Toyota says those features can work together as a hands-on, semi-autonomous highway aid. Safety Connect is also standard, with automatic collision notification, an emergency assistance button, roadside assistance access, and a stolen vehicle locator.

One caveat is that the lane-keeping and adaptive cruise systems can feel overly assertive or occasionally misread the road, so you may want to test those features on your own commute before buying.

Should I buy a 2022 Toyota Camry or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 30.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 69.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.52% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 stands out for its available V6, standard advanced safety features, and strong value for money.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $21,705, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $22,977 average.
• It offers broad choice, with multiple powertrains, trim levels, and available AWD.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger overall shopping mix, the 2022 is the better target because it combines solid pricing, broad inventory, and strong owner satisfaction. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2021 is the more budget-friendly path and still gives you many of the Camry’s core strengths.
