Used 2022 Subaru BRZ for Sale near Oregon

How much does the 2022 Subaru BRZ cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 132 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2022 Subaru BRZ a good car?

Generally — the 2022 Subaru BRZ earns a 4.3/5 user rating and a 7.7/10 expert rating, which points to strong overall appeal for shoppers who want a focused sports coupe. The user feedback repeatedly highlights its sporty performance, fun driving experience, comfortable ride, engaging handling, and stylish design. The expert review also backs up that appeal by calling out its fun-to-drive character, easy-to-use technology, and excellent value for money.

The trade-offs are just as clear: the back seat is cramped, and the car is built around driving enjoyment rather than everyday practicality. That makes it a better fit if you want a lightweight, rear-wheel-drive coupe with a strong personality than if you need passenger space or a do-everything daily driver. Even so, 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2022 Subaru BRZ reliable?

Owners rate it 4.3/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction. The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience overall, with many drivers describing it as a car they enjoy living with over time. The expert review adds that Subaru’s five-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty and three-year/36,000-mile basic warranty are standard for the segment, which helps support confidence in long-term ownership.

The BRZ’s naturally aspirated boxer engine and straightforward mechanical setup should appeal to used buyers who want a sports car without a complicated powertrain. For long-term ownership, your biggest risk is less about the concept and more about how the car was driven and maintained before you buy it.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Subaru BRZ?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 79.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any car you’re considering, even if the listing looks clean at first glance. A pre-purchase inspection matters here because this is a sports coupe, so condition can vary a lot depending on how hard the car was driven. Focus on wear items, signs of track use, and whether the car’s equipment matches the trim level you’re paying for.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup is simple, with Premium and Limited trim levels. The Premium gets 17-inch wheels with Michelin Primacy tires, while the Limited rides on 18-inch wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires, plus Ultrasuede upholstery with red accent stitching, dual-mode heaters, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, steering responsive headlights, and reverse automatic braking on automatic models. The Limited is the better-equipped choice, while the Premium is the value play if you want the core driving experience without paying for the extra comfort and safety gear.
• Powertrain: The BRZ uses a 2.4-liter boxer-four engine with 228 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque, paired with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic with paddle shifters. Subaru says the engine still revs to 7,000 rpm, and the torque peak arrives at 3,700 rpm, which helps the car feel responsive without needing forced induction.
• Safety package: Subaru’s EyeSight driver-assist tech is standard only on automatic-transmission models and includes adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-sway warning, lead vehicle start alert, and automatic high beams. The Limited adds blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, and steering responsive headlights, with reverse automatic braking on automatic models.
• Infotainment: You get a standard 8-inch touchscreen and digital gauge cluster, plus Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth connectivity, and SiriusXM satellite radio. The digital cluster also adds sport mode and track mode displays, which fits the car’s enthusiast focus.
• Fuel efficiency: The BRZ is rated at 25 mpg combined, 21 mpg city, and 30 mpg highway with the automatic, or 22 mpg combined, 20 mpg city, and 27 mpg highway with the manual.

Which 2022 Subaru BRZ trim should I buy?

The 2022 Subaru BRZ is offered in 2 trim levels: Premium and Limited.

Here's the short version:

• Premium: This is the trim to target if you want the BRZ’s core driving character at the lowest entry point. You still get the 8-inch touchscreen, digital gauge cluster, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, SiriusXM, leather upholstery, and the standard six-speed manual or available automatic, so it covers the essentials well.
• Limited: This is the best-value trim if you want the most complete version of the BRZ. It adds 18-inch wheels with grippier tires, Ultrasuede upholstery, dual-mode heaters, and a stronger safety package with blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, steering responsive headlights, and reverse automatic braking on automatic models.

The safety package is more complete on the Limited, especially if you want the extra driver-assistance features and the automatic-transmission safety additions.

What is the 2022 Subaru BRZ's resale value?

The current average of $26,434 sits slightly above last year's $26,214.

That small increase suggests the BRZ has held its value fairly well, which is a good sign if you plan to sell later. Stable pricing also points to steady demand rather than a market that is swinging sharply up or down. For a niche sports coupe, that kind of consistency can help protect your exit value if you keep the car in good condition.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.3/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Subaru BRZ safe?

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

The Limited trim adds blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, and steering responsive headlights, while automatic Limited models also get reverse automatic braking. If you want the fullest safety feature set, the Limited is the trim to prioritize.

Should I buy a 2022 Subaru BRZ or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 79.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.3/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 model year brings a more powerful 2.4-liter engine, more tech, and a restyled exterior.

The bottom line: If you want the redesigned BRZ with the stronger engine and updated tech, the 2022 is the right target. If you’re mainly shopping on price, you can still compare nearby years, but the 2022 stands out as the more complete version of the car’s formula.
