Is the 2022 Porsche Panamera a good car?

The 2022 Porsche Panamera stands out because it blends Porsche performance with four-door practicality in a way few luxury sedans can match. It has the brand’s familiar sportiness and luxury, and the second-generation car’s design is described as much more “Porsche-like” than the original, with a more minimalist, modern interior and large infotainment/display screens. It also keeps the generous passenger space of the earlier car, so it feels like a high-end grand tourer that still works as a family sedan.

For you, that means the Panamera makes the most sense if you want a used luxury car that can serve as both a driver’s car and an everyday sedan. The lineup breadth and strong standard equipment add to the appeal, especially if you value comfort, technology, and practicality alongside performance. 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Porsche Panamera reliable?

The 2022 Porsche Panamera has a good reliability record, and that matters if you want a used luxury sedan that can handle regular use without feeling fragile. The model’s appeal is also supported by its strong standard equipment and broad lineup, which suggests a well-developed package rather than a one-note performance car.

For long-term ownership, you should still expect premium-car running costs and plan for careful maintenance, since that’s part of the tradeoff with this kind of vehicle.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Porsche Panamera?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the car’s records match its condition and mileage. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has higher mileage, multiple owners, or signs of heavy use. Focus on wear items, electronics, and overall maintenance quality so you can separate a well-kept example from one that only looks good on paper.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Porsche Panamera?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 364 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.01% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 90.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $72,953, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Porsche Panamera's resale value?

The current average of $73,195 sits slightly below last year's $79,566.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled enough to help you buy more confidently today. If you plan to sell later, the Panamera’s premium positioning and strong brand appeal should still support demand, but the recent decline means you should not assume a quick appreciation story. For a future seller, condition, mileage, and maintenance history will matter a lot in protecting value.

Should I buy a 2022 Porsche Panamera or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.01% compared with last year.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $64,038, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $73,195 average.
• It adds updates and a broader lineup.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $81,254, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $73,195 average.
• Adaptive cruise control becomes standard.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best all-around choice if you want the strongest balance of price, inventory, and condition. If your priority is spending less, the 2021 is the better value path; if you want the newer convenience feature and can stretch your budget, the 2023 is the upgrade path.
