Is the 2022 Porsche Panamera a good car?

The 2022 Porsche Panamera stands out because it blends Porsche performance with four-door practicality in a way few luxury sedans can match. It has the brand’s familiar sportiness and luxury, and the second-generation car’s design is described as much more “Porsche-like” than the original, with a more minimalist, modern interior and large infotainment/display screens.

For you, that means the Panamera makes the most sense if you want a high-end grand tourer that still works as a family sedan. The lineup is broad, standard equipment is generous, and the car keeps the passenger space that helps it function as an everyday luxury sedan.

Market signal: 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there is meaningful shopping room.

Is the 2022 Porsche Panamera reliable?

The 2022 Porsche Panamera is described as having a good reliability record, which supports its appeal as a used luxury performance sedan. It also combines strong performance with real practicality, so you are not giving up everyday usefulness to get the Porsche character.

For long-term ownership, the main risk is that premium performance cars can bring higher running costs and more expensive upkeep than mainstream sedans.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Porsche Panamera?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report on any car you are seriously considering, especially if it has had multiple owners or a complex service history. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can check for wear, maintenance gaps, and any signs that expensive systems were neglected. Focus on overall condition and documentation, since premium cars like this can vary a lot in how they were cared for.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Porsche Panamera?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 354 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.14% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $72,997, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Porsche Panamera's resale value?

The current average of $73,711 sits slightly below last year's $79,381.

That price movement suggests the market has become more favorable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy well now and keep the car in strong condition, you should be in a better position to protect value later. The Panamera’s premium positioning and broad appeal help, but resale will still depend heavily on mileage, condition, and maintenance records.

Should I buy a 2022 Porsche Panamera or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.14% compared with last year.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $63,768, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $73,711 average.
• It offers a broad, driver-focused lineup with strong everyday versatility.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $81,631, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $73,711 average.
• It adds standard adaptive cruise control for extra convenience.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best all-around choice if you want the strongest balance of price, inventory, and condition. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2021 is the smarter value play, while the 2023 makes sense if you want to spend more for the newer convenience feature.
