Used 2022 Porsche Macan for Sale nearNew Haven, CT

How much does the 2022 Porsche Macan cost?

Prices have softened 7.61% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,472 listings available, which gives you a meaningful pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2022 Porsche Macan a good car?

The 2022 Porsche Macan is a strong fit if you care more about driving feel and premium execution than maximum utility, and it earns a 3.5/5 user rating and a 7.00/10 expert rating.

The model scores 10/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

Its appeal comes through clearly in the styling, premium interior materials, and the way it drives more like a sports car than a typical compact SUV. The trade-offs are just as clear: the back seat is cramped, cargo space is limited, and the infotainment system is unimpressive.

For shoppers who want a compact luxury SUV with a distinctly athletic character, the Macan still makes sense, especially if you value handling and feel over everyday space. The market also shows 37.2% good or great deals, which suggests there are opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2022 Porsche Macan reliable?

The 2022 Porsche Macan is presented as a well-engineered SUV with a strong focus on precision and performance, and the expert evaluation says its technologies performed as expected without accuracy, refinement, or sophistication problems.

The performance notes also point to a polished driving experience: the dual-clutch transmission shifts cleanly, the steering and suspension are tuned for improved ride and handling, and the chassis delivers strong grip and stability. On the cost side, Porsche includes a 10-speaker sound system and wireless Apple CarPlay as standard, but the broader ownership picture still leans toward a premium, performance-first proposition rather than a low-cost one.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that you’re buying a complex, high-performance luxury SUV, so condition, maintenance history, and prior use matter a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Porsche Macan?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace documentation on a specific vehicle. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on wear items, brake condition, tire condition, and any signs that the vehicle was driven hard. It also helps to compare equipment carefully, since some desirable driver-assistance features are optional rather than standard.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes the Macan base model, the Macan S, and the Macan GTS. The base model gets the least power and equipment, while the S adds a stronger V6 and more standard hardware, and the GTS brings the highest-output setup. The best-value choice is likely the Macan S if you want the strongest balance of performance and equipment without stepping all the way up to the top model.
• Powertrain: The base model uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 261 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. The Macan S uses a twin-turbo 2.9-liter V6 with 375 hp and 383 lb-ft, and the GTS uses the same 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 tuned to 434 hp and 406 lb-ft. All versions use a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic and all-wheel drive.
• Safety package: Every 2022 Macan has adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, and a reversing camera. Blind-spot monitoring is optional, as is lane-keeping assist, so you should confirm whether a used example has those extras if they matter to you.
• Infotainment: Every model gets a 10.9-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM satellite radio, navigation, connected services, and available WiFi hotspot access. Android users should pay close attention, since the system does not offer the same wireless integration.
• Fuel efficiency: The Macan S returned an as-tested 18.1 mpg, close to the official EPA rating of 19 mpg.

Which 2022 Porsche Macan trim should I buy?

The 2022 Porsche Macan is offered in 3 trim levels: Macan base model, Macan S, and Macan GTS.

Here's the short version:

• Macan base model: This is the entry point if you want the Porsche badge and the standard all-wheel-drive, dual-clutch setup at the lowest price. It has the least power of the three, so it makes the most sense if you care more about getting into the model than maximizing performance.
• Macan S: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds the stronger twin-turbo V6 and a more compelling performance balance without jumping to the top model. If you want the Macan’s athletic character to feel fully realized, this is the trim to target.
• Macan GTS: Choose this if you want the most powerful version and the sharpest performance focus in the lineup. It is the trim for buyers who want the Macan to lean hardest into its sports-car personality.

Every 2022 Macan includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, and a reversing camera, while blind-spot monitoring and lane-keeping assist remain optional.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Porsche Macan?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you have room to shop, but the best listings can still move quickly.

• Deal availability: 37.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,472 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.61% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $45,590, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Porsche Macan's resale value?

The current average of $45,590 sits slightly below last year's $49,343.

That decline suggests the market has become a bit more favorable for buyers, which can help you get into the model at a lower entry point. For a future seller, though, it also means you should expect pricing to remain sensitive to condition, mileage, and equipment.

Because the Macan is a premium performance SUV, well-kept examples with desirable options should hold up better than neglected ones. If you buy carefully now, you improve your odds of recovering more value later.

Is the 2022 Porsche Macan safe?

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

Every 2022 Macan has adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, and a reversing camera. Blind-spot monitoring is optional, as is lane-keeping assist, so some used examples will be better equipped than others.

The safety story is more about equipment than published crash results, since neither NHTSA nor IIHS has published ratings for this model. If safety tech matters to you, verify the exact options on the vehicle you’re considering.

Should I buy a 2022 Porsche Macan or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 37.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.61% compared with last year.
• The 2022 updates matter to you, especially the refreshed styling, larger standard wheels, and the new center console with haptic touch controls.

The bottom line: The 2022 is a smart pick if you want the refreshed look and feel of this generation while shopping in a market that has softened from last year. If you’re especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, but the 2022 remains the better choice when you want the updated equipment and the Macan’s core driving character in one package.
