Used 2022 Porsche Macan for Sale near Connecticut

How much does the 2022 Porsche Macan cost?

Prices have softened 7.80% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,467 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2022 Porsche Macan a good car?

The 2022 Porsche Macan is a strong fit if you want a compact luxury SUV that prioritizes driving feel over maximum utility, and its 3.5/5 user rating and 7/10 expert rating reflect that balance.

The model scores 10/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

Its appeal comes through clearly in the styling, premium interior materials, and sports-car-like road manners, while the trade-offs are just as clear: the back seat is cramped, cargo space is limited, and the infotainment system is unimpressive. That makes it best suited to you if you value a distinctly athletic character more than everyday space and tech polish.

The market still looks reasonably supportive, with 41.6% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2022 Porsche Macan reliable?

The 2022 Porsche Macan is presented as a well-engineered, performance-focused SUV with a strong emphasis on precision and refinement, and its systems are described as working as expected in testing.

The performance notes point to a dual-clutch transmission, a fully variable all-wheel-drive system, and steering and suspension tuning aimed at improving ride and handling. The cost-effectiveness notes also frame ownership as a choice driven more by performance and brand appeal than by bargain pricing, which is useful context if you plan to keep the vehicle long term.

If you buy used, your biggest long-term risk is paying premium-SUV money for a vehicle whose value depends heavily on condition, maintenance history, and how hard it was driven.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Porsche Macan?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on wear items, brake condition, and any signs that the vehicle was driven aggressively. Pay close attention to cabin condition and cargo-area wear as well, since those can tell you a lot about how the SUV was used.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes the Macan base model, the Macan S, and the Macan GTS. The base model gets the least power, while the higher trims add more performance and equipment, so you should compare them based on how much driving excitement and standard content you want.
• Powertrain: Base Macans use a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 261 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. The Macan S uses a twin-turbo 2.9-liter V6 with 375 hp and 383 lb-ft, and the Macan GTS uses a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 with 434 hp and 406 lb-ft. All versions use a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
• Safety package: Every 2022 Macan has adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, and a reversing camera. Blind-spot monitoring is optional, as is lane-keeping assist, and blind-spot monitoring was included in the test vehicle as part of the optional Premium Package.
• Infotainment: Every model gets a 10.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM satellite radio, navigation, connected services, and available WiFi hotspot access. Android users do not get the same wireless smartphone integration.
• Fuel efficiency: The Macan S test vehicle returned 18.1 mpg, which came close to the official EPA rating of 19 mpg.

Which 2022 Porsche Macan trim should I buy?

The 2022 Porsche Macan is offered in 3 trim levels: Macan base model, Macan S, and Macan GTS.

Here's the short version:

• Macan base model: This is the entry point if you want the Macan’s styling, standard all-wheel drive, and core Porsche driving character at the lowest price. It makes the most sense if you care more about getting into the badge and chassis than chasing maximum power.
• Macan S: This is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it adds a stronger twin-turbo V6 and more standard equipment while staying below the GTS in price and intensity. If you want the sweet spot between everyday usability and serious performance, this is the trim to focus on.
• Macan GTS: This is the one to choose if you want the most power and the most performance-focused version of the lineup. It suits you best if driving excitement matters more than value.

The safety package is broad across the lineup, but blind-spot monitoring and lane-keeping assist remain optional rather than standard.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Porsche Macan?

This looks like a buyer-friendly market if you are shopping carefully and comparing listings.

• Deal availability: 41.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,467 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.80% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $44,998, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Porsche Macan's resale value?

The current average of $45,002 sits slightly below last year's $48,809.

That price movement suggests the Macan has softened enough to create a better entry point for used buyers, but it also means a future seller may need to be realistic about pricing if the market stays competitive. Because the model sits in a premium segment, condition and equipment will matter a lot when it comes time to resell. If you buy well now and keep the vehicle in strong shape, you should be better positioned than someone who overpays at the start.

Is the 2022 Porsche Macan safe?

The 2022 Porsche Macan does not have published crash-test ratings from either NHTSA or IIHS.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

Every 2022 Macan has adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, and a reversing camera. Blind-spot monitoring is optional, as is lane-keeping assist, and the test vehicle had blind-spot monitoring through the optional Premium Package but not lane-keeping assist. If you want more advanced driver assistance, this is not the strongest choice in the class.

Should I buy a 2022 Porsche Macan or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 41.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.80% compared with last year.
• The 2022 model gets updates that keep it fresh, including more power and standard equipment, plus a styling refresh and interior changes.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the right move if you want the updated Macan experience at a softer used price, especially if you care most about performance and premium feel. If you are more price-sensitive, a nearby year may still make sense, but the 2022 gives you a compelling mix of freshness, driving enjoyment, and market value.
