Used 2022 Porsche Macan for Sale nearNew York, NY

How much does the 2022 Porsche Macan cost?

Prices have softened 7.09% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,505 listings available, which gives you a meaningful pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2022 Porsche Macan a good car?

It’s a strong choice if you want a compact luxury SUV that prioritizes driving enjoyment over maximum utility, with a 3.5/5 user rating and a 7.00/10 expert rating.

The model scores 10/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

The 2022 Macan stands out for its stylish design, premium interior materials, and sports-car-like road manners. That said, it asks you to accept a cramped back seat, limited cargo space, and an infotainment system that doesn’t match the rest of the vehicle’s polish.

Those trade-offs matter most if you need your SUV to be especially practical, but they’re easier to live with if your priority is a compact luxury SUV that feels genuinely athletic. With 39.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Porsche Macan reliable?

The 2022 Porsche Macan is presented as a well-engineered, precision-built SUV that emphasizes performance and refinement, and the expert evaluation notes that its technologies worked as expected during testing.

The performance write-up also points to a drivetrain and chassis setup that feels tightly sorted, with responsive steering, a dual-clutch transmission, and adaptive damping on the tested model. On the ownership side, Porsche’s premium positioning means you should expect to pay close attention to maintenance history and condition, especially if you’re buying a higher-mileage example.

If you’re shopping used, the main long-term risk is that a performance-focused luxury SUV can become expensive to own if prior care was inconsistent.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Porsche Macan?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean title alone doesn’t tell you how the vehicle was maintained or repaired. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the suspension, brakes, tires, and interior wear, since this model’s appeal depends heavily on how well it has been kept. You’ll also want to focus on whether the equipment level matches the asking price, because the Macan’s value is tied closely to its options and condition.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes the Macan base model, the Macan S, and Macan GTS. The base model gets the least power and equipment, while the S adds a stronger twin-turbo V6 and the GTS brings the highest-output setup. The best-value choice is usually the Macan S if you want the strongest balance of performance and equipment without stepping all the way up to the GTS.
• Powertrain: Base models use a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 261 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. The Macan S uses a twin-turbo 2.9-liter V6 with 375 hp and 383 lb-ft, and the Macan GTS uses the same 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 tuned to 434 hp and 406 lb-ft. All versions use a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic and all-wheel drive.
• Safety package: Every 2022 Macan has adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, and a reversing camera. Blind-spot monitoring is optional, as is lane-keeping assist, and blind-spot monitoring was included on the test vehicle through the Premium Package.
• Infotainment: Every model gets a 10.9-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM satellite radio, navigation, connected services, and available WiFi hotspot access. A 10-speaker sound system is standard, with Bose and Burmester upgrades available.
• Fuel efficiency: The test Macan S returned 18.1 mpg, close to its official EPA rating of 19 mpg.

Which 2022 Porsche Macan trim should I buy?

The 2022 Porsche Macan is offered in 3 trim levels: Macan base model, Macan S, and Macan GTS.

Here's the short version:

• Macan base model: This is the entry point if you want the Porsche badge and the core Macan driving feel at the lowest price. It has the least power of the three, but it still gives you the standard all-wheel-drive setup and the same athletic character that defines the lineup.
• Macan S: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds the stronger twin-turbo V6 and a more compelling performance balance without jumping to the top-end GTS. It’s the trim to target if you want the Macan’s sporty personality to feel fully realized.
• Macan GTS: Choose this if you want the most powerful version and the sharpest performance focus in the lineup. It’s the right pick when outright speed and the most aggressive driving character matter more than value.

Every 2022 Macan includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, and a reversing camera. Blind-spot monitoring and lane-keeping assist remain optional.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Porsche Macan?

This is a moderate, selective-buyer market, so you can shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 39.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,505 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.09% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $45,539, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Porsche Macan's resale value?

The current average of $45,551 sits slightly below last year's $49,029.

That decline suggests the market has moved in your favor as a buyer, but it also means a future seller may need to price competitively to stand out. The current range still leaves room for stronger resale if your vehicle is well equipped and in excellent condition.

For owners, the Macan’s premium image and performance focus can help support value, but condition and mileage will matter a lot. If you keep up with maintenance and avoid neglect, you’ll be in a better position when it’s time to sell.

Is the 2022 Porsche Macan safe?

The 2022 Porsche Macan does not have published crash-test ratings from NHTSA or IIHS.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

Every 2022 Macan has adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, and a reversing camera. Blind-spot monitoring is optional, as is lane-keeping assist, and the test vehicle had blind-spot monitoring through the Premium Package but not lane-keeping assist.

The main caveat is that this is not a particularly advanced driver-assistance package compared with some rivals, so you should not expect the Macan to lead the class in safety tech.

Should I buy a 2022 Porsche Macan or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 39.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.09% compared with last year.
• The 2022 model brings updates that keep the Macan fresh while preserving its sports-car-like driving character.

The bottom line: If you want the Macan’s strongest blend of freshness, performance, and current-market pricing, the 2022 is the one to target. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby year may still make sense, but you should compare equipment carefully and focus on condition, because the Macan’s value depends heavily on how well it has been maintained.
