Used 2022 Nissan Pathfinder for Sale nearJacksonville, FL

How much does the 2022 Nissan Pathfinder cost?

Prices have softened 13.46% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

With 2,326 listings available, you have a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2022 Nissan Pathfinder a good car?

Yes — owners rate it 4.8/5, and the expert rating is 8.33/10. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise the comfortable seating, spacious interior, smooth performance, and strong value for the price. That lines up well with the Pathfinder’s family-first mission, since it’s meant to give you a roomy three-row SUV that feels pleasant to live with and useful for hauling people and gear.

The main trade-offs are the weak fuel economy and unimpressive technology. Even so, the overall package still works well if you want a midsize SUV that emphasizes comfort, cargo space, and everyday usability. Good and great deals account for 37.0% of listings, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2022 Nissan Pathfinder reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels comfortable, spacious, and smooth in daily use, which is the kind of experience that usually supports confidence over time. Reviewers also highlighted the value for the price and the tech features included, both of which can make ownership feel more rewarding.

The expert evaluation also describes the Pathfinder as a well-rounded family hauler with thoughtful features and reassuring safety tech, while noting that the transmission can be a mixed experience. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk looks manageable, but you should pay close attention to how the drivetrain behaves on a test drive.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Nissan Pathfinder?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the transmission’s behavior, interior condition, and the operation of the third row and tech features. If you’re comparing trims, make sure the equipment on the window sticker matches what’s actually installed.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Pathfinder comes in S, SV, SL, and Platinum trims. The base S keeps things simpler with cloth upholstery and fewer convenience features, while SV adds more everyday comfort and can be paired with a panoramic moonroof and roof rack. SL and Platinum bring semi-aniline leather-appointed seats, and Platinum adds the most upscale cabin treatment, including quilted seating and standard second-row captain’s chairs.
• Powertrain: You get a 3.5-liter V6 with 284 horsepower and 259 lb-ft of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive are both offered, and AWD models add more drive and terrain modes plus hill descent control.
• Safety package: Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard, and it includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, high-beam assist, rear automatic braking, driver alertness monitor, rear door alert, and forward-collision warning. Upper trims add a surround-view monitor, and Platinum gets an extra airbag.
• Infotainment: Standard equipment includes an 8-inch touchscreen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, satellite radio, voice recognition, and a 7-inch digital driver-information display. Upper trims get a 9-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless charging, connected navigation, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel on Platinum.
• Fuel efficiency: FWD models are rated at 21 mpg city, 26 mpg highway, and 23 mpg combined. AWD models keep the same combined figure, while Platinum AWD drops to 20 mpg city, 25 mpg highway, and 22 mpg combined.

Which 2022 Nissan Pathfinder trim should I buy?

The 2022 Nissan Pathfinder is offered in 4 trim levels: S, SV, SL, and Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, and it makes sense if you want the Pathfinder’s core space, V6 power, and standard safety tech at the lowest price. It’s the trim to choose if you care more about value than luxury features.
• SV: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more convenience and comfort without jumping all the way to the top of the range. It also opens the door to useful options like the panoramic moonroof and roof rack.
• SL: This is the right pick if you want a more upscale cabin, since it adds semi-aniline leather-appointed seating and can be equipped with more premium tech and audio features. It’s a strong middle ground if you want a nicer feel without paying Platinum money.
• Platinum: This is the most luxurious version, with the richest interior treatment, standard second-row captain’s chairs, the fully digital instrument panel, head-up display, and the most complete feature set. Choose it if you want the Pathfinder to feel as premium as possible.

Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard across the lineup, while upper trims add a surround-view monitor.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Nissan Pathfinder?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,326 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.46% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 85.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $24,598, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Nissan Pathfinder's resale value?

The current average of $24,598 sits slightly below last year's $28,425.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim desirability rather than on broad market momentum alone.

Because the Pathfinder still draws strong owner satisfaction and offers a useful mix of space, comfort, and safety, well-kept examples should remain appealing to shoppers. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Nissan Pathfinder safe?

The 2022 Nissan Pathfinder was not crash-tested by IIHS or NHTSA.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard on every Pathfinder, and it includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, high-beam assist, rear automatic braking, driver alertness monitor, rear door alert, and forward-collision warning. A rearview camera is standard, and upper trims add a surround-view monitor.

The main safety caveat is that there are no crash-test ratings from the major testing organizations for this model year, so you’ll want to lean more heavily on the standard driver-assistance equipment and the vehicle’s condition when shopping used.

Should I buy a 2022 Nissan Pathfinder or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.46% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It brings back much of the Pathfinder’s rugged capability and pairs it with thoughtful features and safety tech.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $29,872, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $24,598 average.
• It adds the Rock Creek edition, a tougher-looking version for buyers who want a more adventurous image.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2022 is the smarter buy because it combines a lower average price with strong owner satisfaction and a broad feature set. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer model-year update and the Rock Creek option, the 2023 is worth a look, but price-sensitive buyers should start with the 2022.
