Is the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It stands out for simplicity and value, with standard all-wheel drive, easy parking manners, and a straightforward small-SUV layout that works well if you want practical transportation without paying for flash. It also offers useful modern equipment on higher-spec versions, including Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a 7-inch touchscreen audio display, and automatic climate control. With 32.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2022 Outlander Sport is described as having solid reliability in later years, and its long-running, low-drama design is part of the appeal. Because the model has changed little over time, you can expect a familiar ownership experience rather than a lot of surprises.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is ending up with a neglected example, so condition and maintenance history matter more than chasing extra features.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 76.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a pre-purchase inspection so you can confirm the car’s condition matches the listing. Pay close attention to signs of wear, ride quality, and how the interior has held up, since this model is known for cheap interior materials and a rough ride. If you can, compare a few examples side by side so you can spot the cleanest, best-maintained vehicle rather than just the cheapest one.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 32.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 559 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.67% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 76.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $15,596, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport's resale value?

The current average of $15,596 sits slightly below last year's $17,267.

That price movement suggests the model has softened in the used market, which can help you buy at a lower entry point today. For a future seller, that also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. If you keep the car clean, documented, and accident-free, you give yourself a better chance of holding value when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 32.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 76.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.67% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2022 is a smart choice if you want the model’s value-focused formula at a lower used price, especially if you care more about affordability and standard AWD than about refinement. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a lower-mileage or better-equipped example fits your budget more cleanly.
