Used 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross for Sale near Wisconsin

How much does the 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross cost?

Prices have softened 11.59% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 245 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross a good car?

The 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross earns an 6/10 expert rating, and its strongest appeal comes from its bold styling, low starting price, responsive infotainment, and standard advanced safety features.

The standout strength is Safety at 8/10.

The trade-offs are clear: sluggish performance and outdated technology hold it back, and the overall package is described as poor value for money. If you want a compact SUV that prioritizes styling and a lower entry price over polish, this one fits that use case better than it does a buyer looking for a well-rounded class leader.

37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still some attractive opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross reliable?

The 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross is presented as a vehicle with a strong warranty and a powertrain that can work fine for commuting, but its dated technology and underwhelming overall execution keep it from feeling especially reassuring as a long-term used buy.

Its 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine and CVT are described as adequate around town, with respectable low-end torque and acceptable commuter behavior, but the engine feels weak on the highway and the overall setup is not especially athletic. The infotainment system is described as very responsive, which is a plus, and the warranty coverage is a meaningful ownership perk.

The most efficient version returns 26 mpg city, 29 highway, 27 combined, and the model’s warranty is 10 years and 100,000 miles. For used buyers, the bigger long-term risk is that the vehicle’s dated hardware and modest performance may age less gracefully than the warranty coverage suggests.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 80% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with optional equipment. Focus on overall condition, how the infotainment and driver-assistance features operate, and whether the vehicle feels tight and well maintained on a test drive.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The ES starts with 16-inch alloy wheels, cloth upholstery, manual seats, automatic climate control, a 7-inch touchscreen without Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, a single USB port, HD radio, four speakers, lane departure warning, and forward collision avoidance with pedestrian detection. The LE adds 18-inch wheels, LED fog lights, heated side mirrors with integrated turn signals, rain-sensing wipers, heated front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, sport pedals, and an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The SE gives you the most content for the price with an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats, push-button start, remote keyless entry, six speakers, two USB ports, automatic high beams, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. The SEL adds full leather upholstery, an eight-way power-adjustable front-passenger seat, a heated steering wheel, and steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters.
• Powertrain: Every trim uses a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 152 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque, paired with a CVT and front-wheel drive or available all-wheel drive. The engine is described as weak on the highway, though the torque helps it feel quicker off the line and around town.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, and pedestrian detection. Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, rear parking sensors, and a surround-view parking monitor require more equipment or a higher trim. The SE adds blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, while the Touring Package adds adaptive cruise control.
• Infotainment: The base setup is a 7-inch touchscreen without Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. The LE upgrades you to an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The system is described as responsive, and the newer layout replaces the older touchpad controller with real buttons and dials.
• Fuel efficiency: The most efficient version returns 26 mpg city, 29 highway, 27 combined. Other versions return 25 mpg city, 28 highway, 26 combined or 25 mpg city, 26 highway, 25 combined, depending on trim and drivetrain.

Which 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross trim should I buy?

The 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross is offered in 4 trim levels: ES, LE, SE, and SEL.

Here's the short version:

• ES: This is the entry point, and it gives you the lowest price, but it also leaves out Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It makes sense only if you want the cheapest way into the model and can live with the most basic tech.
• LE: This trim adds the 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus useful comfort and convenience upgrades like heated front seats and rain-sensing wipers. It’s the best-value choice if you want the most important everyday upgrades without moving too far up the price ladder.
• SE: This is the trim that adds the most useful equipment for the money, including an eight-way power driver’s seat, push-button start, remote keyless entry, more speakers, extra USB ports, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. If you want the strongest blend of value and equipment, this is the one to target.
• SEL: This trim adds leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, a power front-passenger seat, and paddle shifters, with the Touring Package bringing adaptive cruise control, a head-up display, heated rear seats, and an upgraded stereo. It suits you best if you want the most comfort and convenience features, but it’s harder to justify on value alone.

The safety package starts with a solid standard feature set, but several desirable driver-assistance features remain tied to higher trims or packages.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly when you find a strong listing.

• Deal availability: 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 245 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.59% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 80.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $15,905, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross's resale value?

The current average of $15,905 sits slightly below last year's $17,989.

That price movement suggests the Eclipse Cross has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help you as a buyer but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price and keep the vehicle in good condition, the softer market can work in your favor. If you’re thinking about future resale, the safest path is to avoid overpaying now, because the model’s weaker value proposition may continue to pressure used prices.

Is the 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross safe?

The 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

It comes standard with forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, and pedestrian detection. Available upgrades include rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and a surround-view parking monitor, though some of those features require higher trims or extra equipment.

Should I buy a 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 80% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.59% compared with last year.
• The 2022 model year stands out for its bold styling, responsive infotainment, and standard advanced safety features.

The bottom line: If you want the newest version of this design with the strongest mix of styling and standard safety, the 2022 is the one to focus on. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you should still shop carefully and compare listings closely, because the model’s value proposition is weaker than many rivals even when the asking price looks attractive.
