Used 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE for Sale nearColumbia, SC

How much does the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE cost?

Prices have softened 11.38% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,449 listings available, which suggests you have a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE a good car?

Generally — you’re looking at a 4.25/5 user-rated SUV with an expert rating of 7.67/10. The standout strength is Safety at 10/10.

The 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE stands out as a low-roofed SUV coupe that leans hard into style without abandoning its utility roots. It also brings two major strengths to the table: a powerful engine and impressive technology.

The main trade-offs are that the design may divide opinion and advanced safety features are not standard. The overall package is also described as poor value for money.

For you, that means this is a better fit if you want a distinctive luxury SUV with strong tech and performance rather than the most practical or value-focused choice.

There are 37.8% of listings priced as good or great deals, so you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE reliable?

Owners rate it 4.25/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE is presented as a well-equipped luxury SUV with premium materials and a high-tech cabin, which usually supports confidence in day-to-day ownership. Its powertrain is described as robust, and the mild-hybrid setup is designed to add extra power when you need it while helping the SUV conserve fuel.

The expert notes also point to refined operation from the driver-assistance systems and a generally composed driving experience, which can matter when you’re living with a vehicle over time. The maintenance perk language in the data is limited to a comparison point with another brand, so it does not change the ownership picture here.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a complex, tech-heavy luxury SUV can be more expensive to keep in top shape if prior maintenance was inconsistent.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any candidate, even if the listing looks clean at first glance. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks the electronics, driver-assistance systems, and the condition of the wheels, tires, and brakes. Because this model leans heavily on technology and luxury features, you’ll want to focus on how well everything works, not just how it looks.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The cabin is described as sumptuous, with high-end materials, dual-screen instrumentation, and a high-tech appearance. The test vehicle’s Nappa premium leather, Dinamica simulated suede headliner and steering wheel, brushed aluminum trim, and ambient lighting show how much the upper-spec experience can differ from a simpler build.
• Powertrain: The turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six makes 429 hp and 384 pound-feet of torque, and EQ Boost adds extra power when needed while helping conserve fuel. The SpeedShift nine-speed automatic and AMG Performance 4Matic+ AWD system are part of the performance setup.
• Safety package: The Driver Assistance Package adds 15 additional systems related to driver support and collision avoidance. Standard equipment includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, forward automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, Pre Safe Sound, and Emergency Call Service. Traffic Jam Assist is also included for 2022.
• Infotainment: MBUX uses dual 12.3-inch screens under one piece of glass, with a digital instrument cluster and touchscreen. Wireless smartphone charging, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, navigation, satellite radio, Mercedes Me connected services, and a Burmester surround-sound audio system are standard.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA says the test vehicle should have returned 19 mpg in combined driving, and the test result was 18.5 mpg.

Which 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE trim should I buy?

The 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE is offered in 3 trim levels: GLE 350, GLE 450 4Matic, AMG GLE 53 Coupe.

Here's the short version:

• GLE 350: This is the entry point if you want the least expensive way into the GLE lineup. The data identifies it as rear-wheel drive, with 4Matic AWD optional, so it makes sense if you want the core GLE experience without moving up the price ladder.
• GLE 450 4Matic: This is the middle choice and the best-value trim if you want more capability than the base model without jumping to AMG pricing. The data positions it between the GLE 350 and AMG GLE 53 models.
• AMG GLE 53 Coupe: This is the one to choose if you want the coupe body style, the 429-hp turbocharged inline-six, EQ Boost, AMG Performance 4Matic+ AWD, AMG Active Ride Control suspension, and the most performance-focused setup in the lineup.

The safety package note is simple: if you want every safety system Mercedes offers for this SUV, you’ll want the Driver Assistance Package.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 37.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,449 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.38% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 86.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $40,116, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE's resale value?

The current average of $40,221 sits slightly below last year's $45,388.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may temper resale upside if you sell soon. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that pricing momentum has softened, so holding the vehicle longer may matter more than trying to time a quick flip.

Demand should still be supported by the model’s strong tech, luxury appeal, and distinctive coupe styling. Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.25/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE safe?

The 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE is based on the standard GLE, which gets top safety ratings from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

It earns a 10/10 safety score from our experts.

Mercedes equips this SUV with forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, forward automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, and Pre Safe Sound. The Driver Assistance Package adds 15 additional systems related to driver support and collision avoidance, including Traffic Jam Assist for 2022.

The expert notes also highlight Active Lane Change Assist and Active Emergency Stop Assist, along with lane-keeping assistance that works decisively without feeling overly intrusive. The main caveat is that advanced safety features are not standard, so you’ll want to confirm whether a used example has the package you want.

Should I buy a 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 37.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.38% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.25/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The year stands out for its powerful engine and impressive technology.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $38,426, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $40,221 average.
• It emphasizes comfort and technology with multiple powertrain options.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $49,100, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $40,221 average.
• It blends prestige, performance, and practicality with a polished cabin.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of style, tech, and performance at today’s softer pricing, the 2022 is the better primary target. If your budget is tighter, the 2021 is the smarter value play; if you want a newer-feeling package and can spend more, the 2023 is the step up to consider.
