Is the 2022 Lincoln Aviator a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Lincoln Aviator earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners repeatedly highlight its luxury feel, technology features, and spaciousness, especially for families. The cabin’s high-quality materials and comfort also come through as recurring strengths, and the model’s family-friendly layout fits buyers who want a premium three-row SUV with a refined personality. Is the 2022 Lincoln Aviator reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that many people feel good about living with over time, especially because of its comfort, luxury feel, and overall quality. That kind of praise often lines up with a more dependable ownership experience when the vehicle has been maintained well. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the model’s appeal and more about making sure the specific example has been cared for properly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Lincoln Aviator?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully, even when the market looks healthy, because a clean record matters a lot on a luxury SUV. Put inspection priority on the cabin, electronics, and overall condition, since those are the areas that most affect your day-to-day ownership experience. Focus on how well the vehicle has been maintained and whether everything works as expected before you commit.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Lincoln Aviator?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and deal activity to reward careful shopping.

• Deal availability: 34.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,298 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.27% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 85.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $34,716, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Lincoln Aviator's resale value?

The current average of $34,716 sits slightly below last year's $41,462.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also limit near-term upside if you plan to sell soon. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle is presented when it hits the market. A well-kept example should still attract attention because the Aviator’s luxury positioning and family-friendly appeal remain part of its draw.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Lincoln Aviator or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 34.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.27% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $30,141, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $34,716 average.
• It offers a spacious cabin with a soft ride and strong power.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $42,271, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $34,716 average.
• It leans even more into quiet, comfort-focused luxury.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of current pricing, strong owner satisfaction, and healthy inventory, the 2022 is the primary path to consider. If your budget is tighter, the 2021 is the better secondary path because it undercuts the current-year average while keeping much of the Aviator’s core appeal.
