What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Lincoln Aviator?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a pre-purchase inspection that checks for signs of prior damage, uneven wear, or neglected maintenance. If a listing looks especially clean, confirm that the condition matches the price before you move quickly.

• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.09% compared with last year.

What is the 2022 Lincoln Aviator's resale value?

The current average of $35,438 sits slightly below last year's $41,734.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more favorably now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you can reduce the hit from depreciation. A well-kept example should still appeal to shoppers looking for a refined three-row luxury SUV.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Lincoln Aviator or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.09% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $30,173, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $35,438 average.
• It offers a spacious cabin and a soft ride.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $42,465, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $35,438 average.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best all-around choice if you want the strongest mix of price movement, inventory, and owner satisfaction. If your priority is saving money, the 2021 is the better value path; if you want to spend more for a newer-feeling alternative, the 2023 is the premium step up.
