How much does the 2022 Lexus NX cost?

Prices have softened 5.46% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 897 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Lexus NX a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Lexus NX earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.8/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 10/10.

The redesigned NX is aimed at a young, affluent, diverse, and tech-savvy buyer, and it backs that up with stylish design, impressive technology, and standard advanced safety features. It also feels more dynamic and more technologically advanced than the model it replaces, which makes it a strong fit if you want a compact luxury SUV that feels modern and upscale.

The trade-offs are that it can be noisy and lacks a physical tuning knob, and the test-drive data also points to poor off-road capability. Even so, the NX’s strong feature set and clear identity make it appealing if you value design and tech over ruggedness.

40.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2022 Lexus NX reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2022 NX is presented as a more attractive, more dynamic, and more technologically advanced SUV than the one it replaces, and that redesign focus supports confidence in the vehicle’s overall execution. The expert evaluation also emphasizes its strong standard safety content and broad technology package, both of which can matter in day-to-day ownership.

Its powertrain lineup includes electrified options, and the performance notes describe the NX as composed and capable when driven hard. The cost-effectiveness notes also frame the base model as unusually well equipped for the price.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a highly tech-heavy SUV can be more expensive to keep satisfying if you’re sensitive to noise, interface complexity, or feature-related wear.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Lexus NX?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 76.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any candidate and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive. Focus on cabin condition, infotainment operation, and whether the vehicle’s features work as intended, since this NX leans heavily on technology.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The NX lineup includes base, Premium, F Sport, and Luxury trims, and the base model leaves out some of the richer equipment you’ll find higher up the range. The Luxury trim adds real leather and open pore wood trim, while the F Sport brings a more aggressive look and sport-bolstered seating.
• Powertrain: The NX 250 uses a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 203 horsepower and front-wheel drive, while the NX 350 uses a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder with 275 horsepower and standard all-wheel drive. The lineup also includes electrified versions, including a hybrid and a plug-in hybrid.
• Safety package: Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 is standard, and it includes Risk Avoidance Emergency Steer Assist, Oncoming Vehicle Detection, Oncoming Pedestrian Detection, Curve Speed Management, Emergency Driving Stop System, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic warning, and Safe Exit Assist. Premium trim adds rear pedestrian detection, adaptive front lighting, rain-sensing wipers, semi-autonomous parking assist with automatic braking, and rear cross-traffic braking.
• Infotainment: A 9.8-inch touchscreen is standard, with a 14-inch screen available. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, along with over-the-air software updates.
• Fuel efficiency: The NX 350h is rated at 39 mpg in combined driving, and the NX 450h+ is described as delivering 36 miles of pure electric range before switching to hybrid operation. The NX 350 is estimated at 25 mpg in combined driving.

Which 2022 Lexus NX trim should I buy?

The 2022 Lexus NX is offered in 4 trim levels: base, Premium, F Sport, and Luxury.

Here's the short version:

• base: This is the entry point, and it gives you the NX’s core design, technology, and safety content without moving up the price ladder. It makes sense if you want the NX experience at the lowest cost.
• Premium: This is the trim to focus on if you want the best balance of equipment and value, since it adds meaningful safety and convenience upgrades without jumping all the way to the more specialized trims.
• F Sport: Choose this if you want the sportiest look and feel, including the unique exterior treatment, sport-bolstered seats, and performance-oriented cabin details.
• Luxury: Pick this if you want the most upscale cabin presentation, including real leather and open pore wood trim, and you’re willing to pay more for it.

The standard Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 suite is a major plus across the lineup, while Premium trim adds several useful safety upgrades.
