Used 2022 Lexus NX for Sale nearAkron, OH

How much does the 2022 Lexus NX cost?

Prices have softened 5.11% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 910 listings available, which suggests you should have some room to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2022 Lexus NX a good car?

Yes — with a 5/5 user rating and a 7.83/10 expert rating, the 2022 Lexus NX lands as a strong choice if you want a compact luxury SUV that feels current and well equipped. The standout strength is Safety at 10/10.

The redesign leans hard into stylish design, impressive technology, and standard advanced safety features, which fits the brand’s push toward a younger, tech-savvy buyer. The trade-offs are that it can be noisy and the lack of a physical tuning knob may frustrate you if you prefer simpler controls.

The market also looks reasonably supportive, with 36.8% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2022 Lexus NX reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2022 NX is presented as a more modern, more technologically advanced redesign, and Lexus emphasizes its broader focus on quality, advanced technology, and Lexus Driving Signature. The turbocharged powertrain is described as smooth enough for everyday use, and the model’s standard safety and tech content should help it feel well sorted over time.

The NX also includes service reminders through its connected services, which can make routine upkeep easier to track. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright durability and more about whether the vehicle’s complex tech and premium features have been maintained properly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Lexus NX?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the electronics, infotainment operation, and any signs of wear in the cabin controls and trim. It also makes sense to pay close attention to how the vehicle drives, since the NX is described as noisy and some controls can be less intuitive than you might expect.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base model gives you the core redesign and standard safety tech, while Premium adds more convenience and safety equipment; Luxury and F Sport bring more upscale or sport-focused character.
• Powertrain: The NX 250 uses a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with front-wheel drive and an available all-wheel-drive option, while the NX 350 uses a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder with standard all-wheel drive and stronger output.
• Safety package: Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 is standard, and it includes Risk Avoidance Emergency Steer Assist, Oncoming Vehicle Detection, Oncoming Pedestrian Detection, Curve Speed Management, Emergency Driving Stop System, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic warning, Safe Exit Assist, and pedestrian, cyclist, and motorcyclist detection. Rear pedestrian detection comes with Premium trim.
• Infotainment: A 9.8-inch touchscreen is standard, a 14-inch screen is available, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and over-the-air updates are included.
• Fuel efficiency: The NX 350 is estimated at 25 mpg in combined driving, while observed fuel economy in testing was 22.2 mpg for the F Sport and 25.5 mpg for the Luxury.

Which 2022 Lexus NX trim should I buy?

The 2022 Lexus NX is offered in 4 trim levels: base, Premium, F Sport, and Luxury.

Here's the short version:

• base: This is the entry point if you want the redesigned NX’s core style, standard safety tech, and modern infotainment without paying for extras. It makes the most sense if you care more about getting the new-generation NX experience than about luxury add-ons.
• Premium: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds meaningful safety and convenience upgrades, including rear pedestrian detection, adaptive front lighting, rain-sensing wipers, semi-autonomous parking assist with automatic braking, and rear cross-traffic braking.
• F Sport: Choose this if you want the sportiest feel and appearance, with unique exterior treatment, sport-bolstered seats, a black headliner, special instrumentation, and a more aggressive chassis setup.
• Luxury: Pick this if you want the most upscale cabin presentation, including real leather and open-pore wood trim, plus a softer, more relaxed driving character.

Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 is standard across the lineup, but Premium adds several useful safety features that make it the trim to target for many buyers.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Lexus NX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 910 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.11% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 77.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $35,274, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Lexus NX's resale value?

The current average of $35,492 sits slightly below last year's $37,402.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can make the NX easier to buy now but may also limit upside if you plan to sell soon. If you purchase at a strong price, you reduce the risk of taking a bigger hit later. If you overpay near the top of the range, resale pressure could work against you.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Lexus NX safe?

The 2022 Lexus NX earns a 10/10 safety score from our experts.

It comes standard with Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, which bundles Risk Avoidance Emergency Steer Assist, Oncoming Vehicle Detection, Oncoming Pedestrian Detection, Curve Speed Management, Emergency Driving Stop System, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic warning, Safe Exit Assist, and pedestrian, cyclist, and motorcyclist detection. Premium trim adds rear pedestrian detection, adaptive front lighting, rain-sensing wipers, semi-autonomous parking assist with automatic braking, and rear cross-traffic braking.

Should I buy a 2022 Lexus NX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.11% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The redesign brings bold styling, advanced technology, and standard advanced safety features.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $28,585, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $35,492 average.
• It offers a stylish design, a comfortable ride, and a quiet cabin.

The bottom line: If you want the newer design, stronger tech, and standard safety content, the 2022 is the better all-around pick. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2021 is the smarter value play, especially if you can live with the older-generation cabin and feature set.
