Is the 2023 Lexus NX a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Lexus NX earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It stands out for its distinctive, sharply styled exterior, upscale cabin, and broad range of powertrains, including hybrid and plug-in hybrid choices. For you, that means it fits especially well if you want a compact premium SUV that emphasizes reliability, efficiency, and a polished luxury feel over maximum practicality or driving excitement. The market also shows 39.6% of listings as good or great deals, which suggests there are worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2023 Lexus NX reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The NX’s overview emphasizes excellent dependability, high-quality construction, and a luxury cabin, all of which support its reputation as a confidence-inspiring used buy. Its hybrid options also add to its appeal if you want efficiency alongside premium features. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about basic reliability and more about finding a well-kept example with the equipment and condition you want.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Lexus NX?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.6% — always verify the vehicle history report. You should still review the report carefully and confirm that the car’s history matches the seller’s description, especially if you’re shopping from the more feature-rich trims and option packages. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the interior electronics, touchscreen operation, and any added equipment, since many desirable features are bundled into packages. Focus on overall condition and maintenance records so you can separate a clean, well-cared-for NX from one that may have been lightly used but poorly maintained.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Lexus NX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to compare listings and wait for the right example.

• Deal availability: 39.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,554 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.03% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $37,848, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Lexus NX's resale value?

The current average of $37,848 sits slightly below last year's $39,438. That kind of price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, that also means resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle is equipped. Well-kept examples with desirable features should hold buyer interest better than average, especially if they present cleanly and have strong service history.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Lexus NX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 39.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.03% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $35,492, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $37,848 average.
• The redesign brings a more modern, tech-forward feel.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger all-around shopping position, the 2023 is the better primary target because pricing has eased and inventory is healthy. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2022 is the better secondary path, especially if you find one in excellent condition and can live with its older-year pricing advantage.
