How much does the 2022 Land Rover Range Rover Sport cost?

Is the 2022 Land Rover Range Rover Sport a good car?

With a user rating of 3/5, the 2022 Land Rover Range Rover Sport is a qualified choice rather than a universal recommendation. It stands out as a luxury SUV that blends serious off-road credibility with a high-end, performance-oriented character, and it offers a more attainable alternative to the flagship Range Rover while still delivering an upscale feel. It is also one of Land Rover’s stronger sellers in the U.S., which helps support its appeal if you want a distinctive midsize luxury SUV with genuine capability. The market currently shows 38.7% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Land Rover Range Rover Sport reliable?

The 2022 Land Rover Range Rover Sport is described as having poor reliability, along with poor fuel economy and low resale value out of warranty. It still brings the brand’s classic 4x4 authority, full-time four-wheel drive, and off-road hardware, but those strengths do not erase the ownership-cost concerns. For used buyers, the long-term risk is that maintenance and out-of-warranty repairs can be expensive enough to outweigh the vehicle’s strengths.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Land Rover Range Rover Sport?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on maintenance history, signs of prior damage, and evidence of expensive wear items. Because this model can carry high ownership costs, condition matters more than usual, so pay close attention to service records and how well the vehicle has been cared for. If possible, compare several listings side by side and favor the cleanest example over the cheapest one.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Land Rover Range Rover Sport?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 38.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 954 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.07% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 85.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $42,448, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Land Rover Range Rover Sport's resale value?

The current average of $42,448 sits slightly below last year's $49,981.

That price drop suggests the model has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help you as a buyer today. If you plan to sell later, the same trend means you should expect resale value to remain a weak point relative to many rivals. The upside is that buying at a lower entry price can soften the impact of future depreciation if you keep the vehicle in strong condition.

Should I buy a 2022 Land Rover Range Rover Sport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 38.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.07% compared with last year.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $32,471, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $42,448 average.
• It blends luxury with strong off-road ability and composed on-road manners.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $60,623, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $42,448 average.
• It adds a more athletic redesign with stronger presence and off-road confidence.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best fit if you want the current-year balance of price, inventory, and capability. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2021 is the smarter value play because it delivers much of the same core appeal for less money.
