How much does the 2022 Land Rover Range Rover Sport cost?

Is the 2022 Land Rover Range Rover Sport a good car?

With a 3/5 user rating, the 2022 Land Rover Range Rover Sport is a mixed proposition rather than an easy yes or no. It stands out for blending luxury, serious off-road hardware, and a more driver-focused character than many large SUVs, while its full-time four-wheel drive and Terrain Response system give it genuine all-weather and off-road credibility. It also benefits from lighter aluminum unibody construction, which improved handling, ride quality, and interior space compared with the earlier design. For you, that means it makes the most sense if you want a high-end SUV that feels special on pavement but still has real capability when the road ends. The market shows 40.8% of listings as good or great deals, which suggests there are worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2022 Land Rover Range Rover Sport reliable?

The 2022 Land Rover Range Rover Sport is described as having poor reliability, along with expensive ownership costs and weak fuel economy. It still offers a broad mix of powertrains and useful updates for the model year, but those strengths do not erase the long-term ownership concerns. If you plan to keep one for years, you should budget conservatively for maintenance and repairs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Land Rover Range Rover Sport?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a full history report and confirm that the vehicle has not had hidden damage or repeated repairs. A pre-purchase inspection is especially important here because ownership costs are high and reliability is a known concern. Focus on overall condition, service records, and how well the SUV has been maintained rather than just the odometer reading.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Land Rover Range Rover Sport?

This is a buyer-friendly market if you are patient and selective.

• Deal availability: 40.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 963 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.62% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 86.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $43,759, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Land Rover Range Rover Sport's resale value?

The current average of $43,759 sits slightly below last year's $51,857.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. For a future seller, it also means resale value may remain sensitive to condition, mileage, and service history. If you keep the SUV well maintained, you will be in a better position to protect value in a segment where ownership costs already weigh on demand.

Should I buy a 2022 Land Rover Range Rover Sport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 40.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.62% compared with last year.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $33,134, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $43,759 average.
• It offers broad versatility with strong on-road and off-road balance.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $62,400, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $43,759 average.
• It emphasizes style and off-road strength, but on-road handling is less convincing.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, capability, and current-market value, the 2022 is the primary path to consider. If your budget is tighter, the 2021 is the better price-sensitive alternative, while the 2023 makes sense only if you are willing to pay significantly more for a newer model year.
