How much does the 2022 Land Rover Range Rover cost?

Is the 2022 Land Rover Range Rover a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Land Rover Range Rover earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.00/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel and Form and function.

The 2022 redesign is more evolutionary than dramatic, but it brings a simpler interior and a notable improvement in technology. If you want a large premium luxury SUV that also brings off-road capability, this is a strong starting point. The trade-offs are that it is not especially sporty, and the cargo area is not especially generous.

The market shows 38.4% of listings as good or great deals, which suggests there are worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2022 Land Rover Range Rover reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2022 Range Rover is built around refinement, with a calm ride, premium materials, and a solid-feeling cabin. Its powertrains are described as smooth and effortless, and the standard four-wheel drive setup supports confident all-weather and off-road use. The infotainment and cabin updates also point to a more polished ownership experience than before.

The standard maintenance and ownership experience should still be weighed against the realities of a high-end luxury SUV, especially if you plan to keep it long term.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Land Rover Range Rover?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a luxury SUV with complex equipment. Focus on overall condition, signs of heavy use, and whether the technology and driver-assistance features work as intended. If you are comparing listings, pay close attention to how the vehicle was equipped and maintained.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The redesign keeps the cabin simpler and more modern, but the base setup still matters because some rivals offer more advanced safety and convenience features.
• Powertrain: The 2022 Range Rover is available with a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder mild-hybrid setup or a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8, both paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard four-wheel drive.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, front and rear parking sensors, and a surround-view camera system.
• Infotainment: The cabin gets a larger 13-inch touchscreen, the Pivi Pro system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a wireless charging pad.
• Fuel efficiency: The six-cylinder model is estimated at 21 mpg in combined driving.

Which 2022 Land Rover Range Rover trim should I buy?

The 2022 Land Rover Range Rover is offered in 2 trim levels: P400 and P530.

Here's the short version:

• P400: This is the better-value choice if you want the core Range Rover experience with the turbocharged six-cylinder, smooth power delivery, and the same standard four-wheel drive and off-road capability. It gives you the luxury, refinement, and technology updates without stepping up to the more expensive V8.
• P530: Choose this if you want the stronger twin-turbo V8 and the extra output that comes with it. It is the more powerful option, but the rest of the Range Rover formula remains focused on comfort and refinement rather than sportiness.

Standard safety equipment includes frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, front and rear parking sensors, and a surround-view camera system.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Land Rover Range Rover?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it pays to compare listings closely and move quickly on strong examples.

• Deal availability: 38.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,292 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.75% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $53,455, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Land Rover Range Rover's resale value?

The current average of $54,108 sits slightly below last year's $60,623.

That price movement suggests the market has softened, which can help you as a buyer now but may temper resale expectations later. If you buy at the right price, you reduce the risk of taking an immediate depreciation hit. For a future seller, the key will be how well the vehicle is equipped and maintained, since condition matters a lot in this segment.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Land Rover Range Rover safe?

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

All new 2022 Range Rovers come standard with frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, front and rear parking sensors, and a surround-view camera system. In our time with the Range Rover, all of these features performed as intended with no false alarms.

The safety package is solid, but some rivals offer additional features such as advanced high beams, safe exit warnings, and emergency stop functions. That means you should not assume the Range Rover is the most fully equipped option in the class, even though its standard suite is broad.

Should I buy a 2022 Land Rover Range Rover or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 38.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.75% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 redesign brings a simpler interior and a notable improvement in technology.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $38,938, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $54,108 average.
• It offers multiple powertrain options and a premium cabin.

The bottom line: Choose the 2022 if you want the updated interior, improved technology, and the strongest overall mix of refinement and capability. If your priority is spending less, the 2021 is the better value play, especially if you are comfortable giving up the newer redesign.
