There are 611 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Kia EV6 a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Kia EV6 earns a 4.6/5 user rating and a 7.7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 10/10.

Drivers consistently praise its smooth ride, powerful performance, and stylish design, and many also like the spacious interior and advanced safety features. The overview frames it as a sporty, tech-forward EV that stands out for style, acceleration, and charging speed, which makes it especially appealing if you want something that feels more distinctive than a typical crossover.

The trade-offs are clear: the expert review calls out unimpressive electric range and not much cargo space. Even so, the market still shows 40.6% good or great deals, so you may find value if you prioritize the EV6’s design and driving character over maximum practicality.

Is the 2022 Kia EV6 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user review summary points to a car that feels smooth, powerful, stylish, and pleasant to drive, while also highlighting advanced safety features and a spacious interior. That combination suggests you can count on the EV6 to deliver a polished ownership experience if you buy one that has been cared for properly.

The expert review also emphasizes that the EV6 is built around useful technology and a strong charging setup, which supports everyday dependability. Kia’s maintenance perk language is not included here, so your main used-EV risk is battery and charging-condition wear, especially if the car has seen frequent fast charging or harsh-weather use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Kia EV6?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on every candidate and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has been used in cold climates or charged heavily on public fast chargers. Focus on battery condition, charging behavior, tire wear, and any signs that the car has been driven hard or stored poorly.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Light trim is the least equipped and is called out for its small battery pack and undersized single motor, while higher trims add more equipment and capability. The Wind trim brings a more usable setup, and the GT-Line adds more advanced tech and safety features.
• Powertrain: The EV6 uses single-motor and dual-motor setups depending on trim, with rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations. The base Light has 167 hp, while higher-output versions are more powerful and quicker, and the dual-motor setup delivers stronger acceleration and more immediate torque response.
• Safety package: Highway Driving Assist is standard on the base Light trim and includes lane-keeping, cyclist and pedestrian detection, front and rear cross-traffic alert, a driver attention monitor, rear parking sensors, safe exit warning, and rear occupant alert. Front parking sensors come on the Wind RWD trim, while the Wind AWD adds automatic rear braking and 360 cameras. The GT-Line adds evasive steering assist and more advanced adaptive cruise behavior.
• Infotainment: The EV6 uses dual 12-inch screens, and the system is quick and easy to use. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are not included, so you need a wired connection. Higher trims can add a 14-speaker Meridian stereo and a remote parking system.
• Range & charging: The base battery is 58 kWh, and the EV6 can accept up to 240 kW on a fast charger. In testing, it took 35 minutes to go from 15 to 80 percent at a fast charger, and the car is designed to support quick DC charging. The expert review also notes that cold-weather range can drop sharply, so range expectations matter a lot on the used market.
• Battery health: You should check battery state-of-health, ask how often the car was DC fast charged versus charged at home, and confirm whether the battery still has meaningful warranty coverage left. A used EV with healthy charging habits and stable range is the safer buy.

Which 2022 Kia EV6 trim should I buy?

The 2022 Kia EV6 is offered in 4 trim levels: Light, Wind RWD, Wind AWD, GT-Line.

Here's the short version:

• Light: This is the cheapest way into the EV6, but it is also the least appealing because the expert review calls out its small battery pack and undersized single motor. You should only consider it if price matters more than range, power, and equipment.
• Wind RWD: This is the best-value choice for most shoppers because it starts to address the Light’s shortcomings with a more usable setup and better overall balance. If you want the EV6 experience without stretching to the pricier trims, this is the one to target first.
• Wind AWD: Choose this if you want the added traction and the extra safety hardware that comes with the AWD version, including automatic rear braking and 360 cameras. It makes sense if you want more confidence and convenience in daily driving.
• GT-Line: This is the most feature-rich trim in the lineup, with the strongest tech and safety content, including evasive steering assist and more advanced adaptive cruise behavior. It suits you best if you want the most polished and advanced EV6 experience.

The safety package starts with Highway Driving Assist on the base trim, and higher trims add more driver-assistance hardware and capability.

• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.96% compared with last year.

What is the 2022 Kia EV6's resale value?

The current average of $22,341 sits slightly below last year's $24,013.

That decline tells you the EV6 has already moved into a more buyer-friendly pricing zone, which can help you if you’re shopping now but may pressure resale if you plan to sell soon. The current trend suggests future sellers may need to price competitively, especially if their car has higher mileage or weaker battery-range performance.

At the same time, the EV6’s distinctive styling and strong tech appeal can help it stand out from more ordinary EV crossovers. If you keep the car in good condition and maintain healthy battery performance, it should remain attractive to used-EV shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Highway Driving Assist is standard on the base Light trim, and it includes lane-keeping, cyclist and pedestrian detection, front and rear cross-traffic alert, a driver attention monitor, rear parking sensors, safe exit warning, and rear occupant alert. Front parking sensors come on the Wind RWD trim, while the Wind AWD adds automatic rear braking and 360 cameras. The GT-Line adds evasive steering assist and more advanced adaptive cruise behavior.

Should I buy a 2022 Kia EV6 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 40.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.96% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 model stands out for its fresh design, strong tech, and fun-to-drive character.

The bottom line: If you want the EV6’s distinctive styling and lively personality at a more approachable used price, the 2022 is the right starting point. If you’re shopping mainly on price, you can still find good value in this year, but you should be especially selective about battery condition, range expectations, and trim choice.
