Used 2022 Jeep Wagoneer for Sale near Texas

How much does the 2022 Jeep Wagoneer cost?

Prices have softened 17.73% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,598 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Jeep Wagoneer a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Jeep Wagoneer earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.7/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Form and function and Technology.

You’ll see the same strengths come up repeatedly in owner feedback: a spacious interior, strong comfort for larger families, and a luxurious feel with advanced technology. The test-drive data also backs up the appeal with a quiet cabin and impressive tech.

The trade-offs are clear, though: the styling is uninspired, fuel economy is poor, and value for money is a concern. In practical terms, this is a full-size SUV aimed at shoppers who want comfort, space, and features more than standout efficiency or bargain pricing.

There are 38.3% good or great deals in the market, which suggests you can still find attractive listings if you shop carefully.

Is the 2022 Jeep Wagoneer reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with many drivers describing it as a vehicle they can count on for family use and daily comfort. The expert review also emphasizes a solid powertrain and comfortable ride, which supports the sense that it’s built for steady long-term use.

Jeep backs it with a three-year, 36,000-mile limited warranty and a five-year, 60,000-mile powertrain warranty. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that higher running costs and poor fuel economy can make ownership less appealing over time if you rack up a lot of miles.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Jeep Wagoneer?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any listing you’re considering, even if the market looks clean overall. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the cabin, electronics, and suspension, since this is a tech-heavy, large SUV where condition can vary a lot from one example to the next. Focus especially on whether the vehicle has the equipment you want, because feature content changes meaningfully by trim.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The launch lineup centers on Series II and Series III, with a base Series I scheduled to arrive later. Series II is the de facto starting point at launch, while Series III adds more luxury and equipment.
• Powertrain: The Wagoneer uses a 5.7-liter V8 mild-hybrid setup with 392 horsepower and 404 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard, and four-wheel drive is available.
• Safety package: Standard driver-assist tech includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors.
• Infotainment: Standard tech includes a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.1-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and Uconnect 5 with over-the-air updates.
• Fuel efficiency: It is rated at 18 mpg combined with rear-wheel drive and 17 mpg combined with four-wheel drive.

Which 2022 Jeep Wagoneer trim should I buy?

The 2022 Jeep Wagoneer is offered in 3 trim levels: Series I, Series II, Series III.

Here's the short version:

• Series I: This is the later-arriving entry point, and it should be the trim to watch if you want the lowest starting price. It’s the right fit if you’re shopping strictly for value and can live with the least equipment.
• Series II: This is the de facto base model at launch, and it’s the best-value choice for most shoppers because it gets you into the Wagoneer lineup without jumping straight to the top price tier. It’s the trim to target if you want the core comfort, tech, and family-friendly space without overpaying.
• Series III: This is the most upscale version, and it’s the one to choose if you want the most equipment and are willing to pay for it. It suits buyers who want the most premium Wagoneer experience available.

Safety content notes that standard driver-assist equipment is already strong, while additional features such as a surround-view camera, digital rearview mirror, traffic-sign recognition, driver attention monitor, and night vision are optional.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Jeep Wagoneer?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you have room to shop, compare, and negotiate.

• Deal availability: 38.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,598 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.73% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $34,580, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Jeep Wagoneer's resale value?

The current average of $34,580 sits slightly below last year's $42,034.

That drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle. For a future seller, that also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment rather than just the badge alone.

Because the Wagoneer is a large, feature-rich SUV with strong owner satisfaction, well-kept examples should continue to draw interest from family buyers. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Jeep Wagoneer safe?

The 2022 Jeep Wagoneer has not yet received crash-test ratings from IIHS or NHTSA.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard driver-assistance equipment includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors. Optional safety features include a surround-view camera system, digital rearview mirror, traffic-sign recognition, a driver attention monitor, and night vision.

Should I buy a 2022 Jeep Wagoneer or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 38.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.73% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 launch brings back the Wagoneer name with a strong mix of comfort, quietness, and technology, while also giving you the de facto starting point at launch in Series II form.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current pricing, inventory, and owner satisfaction, the 2022 is the one to focus on. If you’re especially price-sensitive, keep an eye out for lower-priced listings near the bottom of the range and be ready to move quickly when you find a clean example.
