Is the 2022 Jeep Renegade a good car?

Generally — the 4/5 user rating suggests you can feel reasonably confident shopping this model year.

That score points to a used SUV that has earned solid owner approval, especially if you value a balance of everyday usability and brand character. The market also shows 34.6% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Jeep Renegade reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

That kind of owner feedback suggests the Renegade can be a sensible used buy if you prioritize a model with established owner approval. For long-term ownership, your biggest risk is buying one with hidden wear or poor maintenance history, so condition and records matter.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Jeep Renegade?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a pre-purchase inspection that checks for signs of prior damage, uneven wear, or deferred maintenance. Pay close attention to overall condition, since a clean-looking listing can still hide issues that affect ownership costs later.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Jeep Renegade?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting a deep buyer’s market.

• Deal availability: 34.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,032 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.91% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 84.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,737, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Jeep Renegade's resale value?

The current average of $18,737 sits slightly below last year's $19,913.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable entry point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, buying well below the current average gives you more cushion against depreciation. Strong condition and clean history will matter more when it comes time to resell.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Jeep Renegade or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 34.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.91% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $15,974, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $18,737 average.
• It blends Jeep identity with practical utility and easy-to-use technology.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2022 if you want the stronger current-market balance of price, inventory, and owner satisfaction. If your top priority is spending less upfront, the 2021 is the better value path and still gives you much of the same core appeal.
