You should start with a history report and confirm there are no accident or title issues before you go any further. The current average of $30,880 sits slightly below last year's $33,990.

That softer pricing can help you buy more carefully now, but it also means future resale will depend heavily on how well the truck is maintained and presented. Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.2/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Jeep Gladiator or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 37.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.15% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.2/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $30,026, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $30,880 average.
• It adds a diesel option and more personalization appeal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $33,268, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $30,880 average.
• It brings stronger towing and payload capability.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best all-around path if you want the current-year balance of price, inventory, and owner satisfaction. If you’re especially price-sensitive, the 2021 is the better secondary path because it undercuts the current average while keeping the Gladiator’s core appeal.

How does the 2022 Jeep Gladiator compare to the 2022 Ford Bronco?

The Gladiator gives you the lower average used price, more listings, and a slightly better deal share, while the Bronco brings a higher accident-free share and stronger city fuel economy. If you want the better value hunt, the Gladiator is the easier place to shop; if clean-history inventory matters most, the Bronco has the edge.
