Used 2022 INFINITI QX80 for Sale nearCharlotte, NC

How much does the 2022 INFINITI QX80 cost?

Prices have softened 9.05% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 680 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 INFINITI QX80 a good car?

Generally — the 2022 INFINITI QX80 earns a 4.3/5 user rating and a 7.2/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Performance and Cost effectiveness.

The 2022 QX80’s appeal comes from its full-size luxury SUV format and its meaningful technology update for the year, including a widescreen 12.3-inch display, wireless Apple CarPlay, wired Android Auto, a wireless charger, and a Bose premium sound system. It also brings standard advanced safety features and a strong value proposition for a large luxury SUV.

The trade-offs are clear: the third row is cramped, and the interior is not competitive for the class. That means you should view it as a better fit if you want presence, equipment, and capability rather than the most modern or spacious cabin.

37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2022 INFINITI QX80 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.3/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2022 QX80 is presented as a durable, old-school full-size SUV with body-on-frame toughness and a proven V8 layout. Its performance notes emphasize smooth power delivery, seamless shifting, and strong towing ability, all of which support the case for long-term dependability if you maintain it properly.

The cost-effectiveness notes also point to a strong warranty-backed value proposition for a large luxury SUV. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is that its age and premium running costs can make repairs and upkeep more expensive than you might expect.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 INFINITI QX80?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with a vehicle history report, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on wear, prior damage, and signs of heavy use. Pay close attention to the cabin condition, since the QX80’s interior age and third-row packaging are recurring concerns for shoppers.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Luxe brings the core equipment, while Premium Select adds 22-inch dark chrome wheels and matching exterior accents; Sensory adds advanced climate control, quilted semi-aniline leather seats, heated and cooled front seats, and the body motion-control system.
• Powertrain: The QX80 uses a 400-horsepower 5.6-liter V8 with a seven-speed automatic transmission, and 4WD is available across the lineup.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring with lane-departure prevention, forward-collision warning, backup collision intervention, a smart rearview mirror, adaptive cruise control, driver attention alert, front knee airbags, and second-row outboard seat belt pre-tensioners.
• Infotainment: You get a 12.3-inch Infiniti InTouch display with wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, navigation with lane guidance, voice recognition, connected services, and a wireless smartphone charger.
• Fuel efficiency: The QX80 returns 14 mpg city and 20 highway in 2WD form, or 13 city and 19 highway with 4WD.

Which 2022 INFINITI QX80 trim should I buy?

The 2022 INFINITI QX80 is offered in 3 trim levels: Luxe, Premium Select, and Sensory.

Here's the short version:

• Luxe: This is the best-value trim because it already includes the V8, the 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, a wireless charger, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, and a 13-speaker Bose audio system.
• Premium Select: Choose this if you want a more dressed-up look, since it adds 22-inch dark chrome wheels and dark chrome exterior accents without changing the QX80’s core formula.
• Sensory: This is the right pick if you want the most upscale version, with quilted semi-aniline leather, heated and cooled front seats, advanced climate control, a 17-speaker Bose system, and the body motion-control system.

Safety equipment is standard across the lineup, so you do not need to move up a trim just to get the core driver-assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 INFINITI QX80?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 680 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.05% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 81.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $35,695, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 INFINITI QX80's resale value?

The current average of $35,695 sits slightly below last year's $39,247.

That price movement suggests the QX80 has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means a future seller may face a softer market than before. If you buy at today’s average, you may have less room for appreciation than in a rising-price environment.

Even so, the model’s strong equipment list and luxury-SUV positioning can help support demand among shoppers who want value in a large premium vehicle. Well-kept examples should remain easier to move than neglected ones.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.3/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 INFINITI QX80 safe?

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

One caveat is that NHTSA has only published the rollover result for this model year, so you should weigh that carefully if safety is a top priority.

Should I buy a 2022 INFINITI QX80 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.05% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.3/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 adds a widescreen 12.3-inch infotainment upgrade with wireless Apple CarPlay and a wireless charger.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $28,505, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $35,695 average.
• It blends upscale comfort with old-school toughness.

The bottom line: If you want the newer tech update and a stronger current-market inventory picture, the 2022 is the better all-around target. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2021 is the more budget-friendly path.
