Summary
With 103 currently listed for sale and an average price of $49,980, 65.0% of 2024 INFINITI QX80 listings on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.

Why it stands out
The 2024 INFINITI QX80 stands out as a full-size luxury SUV that still leans on body-on-frame toughness while adding a more upscale feel than earlier versions. It shares a lot with the Nissan Armada, but the premium materials and extra tech features help separate it from that relationship. For shoppers, that means a large, traditional SUV layout with the kind of luxury equipment expected in this class, plus a reputation for being fairly problem free.
For 2024, the QX80 sits in the second generation, which brought a 5.6-liter V8 with 400hp and a seven-speed automatic transmission, along with a maximum towing capacity of 8,500 pounds. Standard equipment included a 13-speaker Bose audio system, leather seats, second-row captain’s chairs, push-button start, tri-zone climate control, an eight-inch infotainment screen with navigation, Bluetooth phone connectivity, and Infiniti’s Around View camera. The 2024 model also benefited from the 2022 update that added a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, wireless charging, wireless Apple CarPlay, and a one-touch folding third-row seat.
Its appeal is strongest for buyers who want a roomy luxury SUV with a long list of comfort and convenience features. The QX80’s strengths include powerful performance, plenty of cargo space, and an impressive audio system. Its drawbacks are also clear: the third row is small, fuel economy is poor, and the ride quality is not especially good.

Reviewed a 2024 INFINITI QX80 on Jan 1, 2026
After spending time with the 2024 QX80 Sensory, I’m comfortable giving it a five‑star rating—not because it’s perfect, but because of how well it delivers on the things that actually matter in this segment, especially at the cheaper real‑world transaction prices these typically sell for. The build quality stands out immediately. Material quality, fit, and finish are all genuinely impressive, and even after 30,000 miles the cabin remains tight with very few creaks or rattles. That’s something I can’t say about several other luxury brands I’ve owned, including BMW, Mercedes, and Cadillac, which tend to develop interior noises far earlier. On the road, the QX80 excels at what it’s built for. The ride is extremely comfortable, highway noise is well controlled, and the 400‑hp V8 provides smooth, effortless power. It’s a relaxed, confident cruiser that makes long family trips easy. The interior is spacious, the leather is high‑quality, and both the interior and exterior design have a clean, upscale look. Fuel economy is average for a large V8 SUV—nothing surprising there. The real drawbacks come from the dated technology. The infotainment system feels behind the times, and features like a head‑up display or massaging seats simply aren’t available. The front seats could also use more side bolstering for better support. Even with those shortcomings, the overall package is strong. When you factor in the typical selling price—often well below MSRP—the value becomes even clearer. You’re getting a large, comfortable, powerful, and well‑built luxury SUV that prioritizes reliability and long‑term durability over chasing trends. It’s not perfect, but nothing in this class is. What the QX80 does, it does exceptionally well, and that’s why it earns a full five stars from me.

Is the 2024 INFINITI QX80 a good car?
Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2024 INFINITI QX80. The overview points to a full-size luxury SUV with body-on-frame toughness, premium materials, extra tech features, powerful performance, plenty of cargo space, and an impressive audio system.
For you, that means this model makes the most sense if you want a roomy luxury SUV with a traditional layout and a long list of comfort and convenience features. 40.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market still offers meaningful value opportunities.
Is the 2024 INFINITI QX80 reliable?
Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The overview describes it as fairly problem free, which supports the idea that it can be a reassuring choice if you want a large luxury SUV without a lot of drama. Its body-on-frame construction and established mechanical setup also fit the profile of a vehicle built for durability.
For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright reliability and more about whether prior maintenance and wear items were handled consistently.
What should I look for when buying a used 2024 INFINITI QX80?
Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
You should still run a history report and verify that the vehicle has no hidden accident or title issues. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you plan to use the SUV for towing or family hauling. Focus your condition check on the ride quality, interior wear, and how well the tech and convenience features operate.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 INFINITI QX80?
Yes — this looks like a buyer’s market, with strong deal availability and a meaningful price drop versus last year.
- Deal availability: 40.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 874 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 16.57% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 91.6% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $43,878, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2024 INFINITI QX80's resale value?
The current average of $45,132 sits slightly below last year's $54,095.
That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, the upside is that a lower purchase price can reduce the amount of value you need to recover later. The QX80’s strong feature content and luxury positioning should help it stay relevant with shoppers who want a large, traditional SUV.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2024 INFINITI QX80 or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2024 if:
- 40.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 16.57% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
Consider the 2025 if:
- At $71,490, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $45,132 average.
- The redesign brings new styling, a new powertrain, and updated tech features.
The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2024 is the smarter buy because it combines a lower average price with strong deal availability and a favorable market trend. If you want the newer redesign and are willing to pay a much higher price, the 2025 is the better path for you.
