Used 2020 INFINITI QX80 for Sale nearCharlotte, NC

How much does the 2020 INFINITI QX80 cost?

Prices have softened 15.84% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 649 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2020 INFINITI QX80 a good car?

Yes — the 2020 INFINITI QX80 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.3/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Performance and Form and function.

It stands out as a more luxurious take on the Nissan Armada, with premium accommodations that help it feel a step above its similarly sized sibling. For you, that means a large SUV that leans into comfort and presence rather than modern tech or efficiency.

The trade-offs are clear: outdated technology and poor fuel economy. If you value a powerful engine and a comfortable ride more than the latest infotainment features, the QX80 fits that use case well.

33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2020 INFINITI QX80 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The QX80 is positioned as a premium, body-on-frame luxury SUV with a strong emphasis on comfort and capability. Its powertrain is described as able to handle the load, and the ride is tuned to stay relatively smooth while also helping when towing.

Its dependability story is helped by a four-year/60,000-mile basic warranty and a six-year/70,000-mile powertrain warranty. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that age-related wear and outdated systems can make upkeep and ownership feel less modern than newer rivals.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 INFINITI QX80?

At 70.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially on bodywork, electronics, and suspension condition. Because this SUV is older and loaded with features, you’ll want to focus on how well everything works rather than just the odometer reading.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The QX80 is sold in Luxe and Limited trims. The cabin is upscale overall, but some trim pieces are not up to the standard of other luxury SUVs in its class, and Limited models add matte silver and open-pore Ash wood trim.
• Powertrain: All QX80s use a 5.6-liter V8 with a seven-speed automatic. It makes 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque, and the SUV is tuned for strong capability rather than efficiency.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes automatic emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert, pedestrian detection, forward collision warning, rear parking sensors, a surround-view camera system, and automatic collision notification. Available upgrades include blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, distance-control assist, and lane-keep assist.
• Infotainment: You get an 8-inch upper touch screen and a 7.0-inch lower touch screen, plus Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, navigation, satellite radio, Bluetooth, and four USB ports. Buyers can upgrade to two 8.0-inch displays, a rear-seat entertainment system, and a WiFi hot spot.
• Fuel efficiency: The rear-wheel-drive version gets 14 mpg in the city and 20 mpg on the highway, while the four-wheel-drive version gets 13 mpg in the city and 19 mpg on the highway.

Which 2020 INFINITI QX80 trim should I buy?

The 2020 INFINITI QX80 is offered in 2 trim levels: Luxe and Limited.

Here's the short version:

• Luxe: This is the trim to focus on if you want the best value. It gives you the core luxury experience, the standard V8, and the full set of everyday comfort and tech features without pushing the price into Limited territory.
• Limited: Choose this if you want the most upscale presentation and are willing to pay for it. It adds more premium cabin touches and comes standard with four-wheel drive, but the jump in price is substantial.

The safety package is solid across the lineup, with standard driver-assistance features already included and additional aids available if you want more coverage.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 INFINITI QX80?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and enough price softness to reward careful shopping.

• Deal availability: 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 649 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.84% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 70.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,824, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 INFINITI QX80's resale value?

The current average of $21,824 sits slightly below last year's $25,932.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the QX80 easier to buy now but also limits near-term upside for a future seller. If you plan to resell later, the biggest factor will be how well the vehicle is maintained and presented, since condition matters more when a model is already trending lower.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 INFINITI QX80 safe?

The Infiniti QX80 earns good scores in the moderate overlap front and side crash tests from IIHS.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety features include automatic emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert, pedestrian detection, forward collision warning, rear parking sensors, a surround-view camera system, and automatic collision notification. You can add blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, distance-control assist, and lane-keep assist.

The main caveat is that this is an older model, so it does not have the full set of newer driver-assistance features found in many newer luxury SUVs.

Should I buy a 2020 INFINITI QX80 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 70.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.84% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It pairs a refreshed luxury feel with strong capability and a more premium cabin than the Armada.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $20,674, the 2019 costs less than the current year's $21,824 average.
• It feels plush and pricey with a traditional luxury-SUV character.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $28,400, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $21,824 average.
• It adds a reshuffled lineup and an improved Smart Rearview Mirror.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price and luxury, the 2020 is the primary path to consider. If you’re especially price-sensitive, the 2019 can save you money while keeping the same old-school appeal.
