Used 2022 INFINITI QX55 for Sale nearChicago, IL

How much does the 2022 INFINITI QX55 cost?

Prices have softened 13.55% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 440 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2022 INFINITI QX55 a good car?

Generally — 4.33/5 from users and 7.33/10 from expert testing. The model scores 8/10 across Cost effectiveness and Safety.

The 2022 INFINITI QX55 is aimed at you if you want a design-led luxury crossover with standard all-wheel drive, a variable-compression turbocharged engine, and a driver-centric cabin. It also brings a strong list of standard safety and connectivity features, which helps it feel well equipped for the class.

The main trade-off is practicality: the cargo area is limited, so this is a better fit if style and standard features matter more to you than maximum utility. Another drawback is that the base setup leaves less room for feature upgrades than the higher trims.

40.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still some attractive opportunities in the market.

Is the 2022 INFINITI QX55 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.33/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The QX55’s standard VC-Turbo powertrain is designed to balance power and efficiency by adjusting compression ratio on the fly, and the transmission is described as smooth and refined rather than noisy or harsh. That points to a powertrain that should feel composed in everyday use.

Infiniti also emphasizes standard safety and connectivity equipment, and the model’s standard features are positioned as a strength rather than an afterthought. On the ownership side, premium fuel is required, so your running costs will be higher than they would be in a mainstream crossover.

For used buyers, the biggest long-term risk is that a stylish, feature-rich luxury crossover can still become expensive to live with if maintenance, tires, and fuel costs stack up over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 INFINITI QX55?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a premium crossover where repair costs can add up quickly. Focus on overall condition, signs of prior bodywork, and whether the cabin and electronics have been used and maintained consistently.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Luxe trim gives you the core QX55 experience with standard all-wheel drive, leatherette upholstery, a panoramic moonroof, and a broad set of safety-related driver aids. Essential adds leather seats, a heated steering wheel, heated and cooled front seats, navigation, and a premium Bose audio system, while Sensory brings semi-aniline leather, wood trim, intelligent cruise control, direct adaptive steering, a motion-activated rear liftgate, and ProPilot Assist with head-up display. If you want the best value, the mid-level Essential trim is the one to compare most closely.
• Powertrain: Every trim uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with a continuously variable transmission and paddle shifters, making 268 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. The variable-compression setup is meant to balance power and efficiency, and the standard AWD system gives the QX55 a confident all-weather setup.
• Safety package: ProPilot Assist combines adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability and lane-centering assistance. Standard equipment also includes blind-spot warning, predictive forward-collision warning, forward emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic rear braking, automatic collision notification, emergency call, a rear-view monitor, hill-start assist, and high-beam assist. Blind-spot intervention, lane-departure prevention, and traffic sign recognition are standard on Sensory and optional on Essential.
• Infotainment: The QX55 uses an Infiniti InTouch dual-display setup with 8-inch upper and 7-inch lower touchscreens. You get wireless Apple CarPlay, wired Android Auto, and a 4G LTE WiFi hotspot that can support up to seven devices.
• Fuel efficiency: All trims return 22 mpg city/28 highway/25 combined.

Which 2022 INFINITI QX55 trim should I buy?

The 2022 INFINITI QX55 is offered in 3 trim levels: Luxe, Essential, and Sensory.

Here's the short version:

• Luxe: This is the entry point, but it still gives you standard all-wheel drive, wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a panoramic moonroof, and a strong safety feature set. If you want the lowest-cost way into the QX55 without giving up the core design and drivetrain, this is the trim to start with.
• Essential: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds leather seats, heated and cooled front seats, a heated steering wheel, navigation, and the 16-speaker Bose audio system. It also unlocks useful options like the ProAssist and Proactive packages, so you can tailor the feature set more easily.
• Sensory: This is the most upscale version, with semi-aniline leather, wood trim, intelligent cruise control, direct adaptive steering, a motion-activated rear liftgate, tri-zone climate control, and ProPilot Assist with head-up display. Choose this if you want the most luxury and the fullest equipment list.

Optional safety-related features are available on Essential, while Sensory includes more of them as standard.

The market leans in your favor right now, especially if you’re shopping carefully and comparing listings.

• Deal availability: 40.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 440 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.55% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $26,196, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 INFINITI QX55's resale value?

The current average of $26,196 sits slightly below last year's $30,300.

That drop suggests the QX55 has become more affordable for buyers, but it also means a future seller may face a softer resale environment than someone who bought earlier. If you’re planning to own it for a while, the current pricing can work in your favor because you’re entering at a lower baseline.

For resale, the key is to buy a clean, well-kept example and avoid overpaying for a trim or option package that the market doesn’t reward strongly. A lower entry price can help cushion depreciation, but condition will still matter a lot when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.33/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 INFINITI QX55 safe?

The 2022 QX55 gets five-star ratings for frontal crash protection from NHTSA.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The QX55 comes standard with a broad safety suite that includes blind-spot warning, predictive forward-collision warning, forward emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic rear braking, automatic collision notification, emergency call, a rear-view monitor, hill-start assist, and high-beam assist. ProPilot Assist adds adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability and lane-centering assistance, and it is standard on the top Sensory trim.

A few caveats are worth keeping in mind: lane-departure warning can be overly sensitive, and rear visibility is limited by the sloping roofline and small rear window. Those are the kinds of issues you should notice on a test drive, especially if you do a lot of city driving or parking.

Should I buy a 2022 INFINITI QX55 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 40.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.55% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.33/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 QX55 stands out as a design-led luxury crossover with standard all-wheel drive, a VC-Turbo engine, and a strong list of standard safety and connectivity features.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the right pick if you want the QX55’s distinctive styling and standard equipment at a more favorable price point than it had a year ago. If you’re especially price-sensitive, the current market makes this a good year to shop carefully and focus on clean, well-priced listings rather than waiting for a better deal.
