Used 2022 Honda Ridgeline for Sale nearMinneapolis, MN

How much does the 2022 Honda Ridgeline cost?

Prices have softened 8.08% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,053 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2022 Honda Ridgeline a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Honda Ridgeline earns a 4.65/5 user rating and a 7.67/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, spacious interior, smooth ride, and useful features like the in-bed trunk and dual-function tailgate. The Ridgeline also gets credit for solid value compared with other midsized trucks and for being easy to live with day to day.

The trade-offs are clear: the transmission can feel irritating, and the technology is dated. That fits the Ridgeline’s role as a truck for you if you want comfort, utility, and a crossover-like driving feel more than rugged-truck character.

Good and great deals account for 36.8% of listings, so there is meaningful room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Honda Ridgeline reliable?

Owners rate it 4.65/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with comfort and usefulness showing up again and again in reviews. The truck’s smooth ride and practical features also suggest a vehicle that many buyers can count on for everyday use.

The expert evaluation reinforces that impression by emphasizing the Ridgeline’s refined, easygoing character and its strong on-road manners. Honda’s standard warranty coverage is also straightforward for a mainstream truck.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about basic durability and more about living with its dated tech and transmission behavior over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Honda Ridgeline?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any candidate, even if the listing looks clean. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the transmission, infotainment responsiveness, and overall interior condition. Because this truck is often chosen for comfort and utility, you should pay close attention to signs of heavy use in the cabin and bed.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Sport trim leaves out some convenience and safety equipment that you get on higher trims, while the RTL-E and Black Edition add more premium features. If you want the best balance of equipment and value, the midlevel trims are the ones to compare most closely.
• Powertrain: You get a 3.5-liter V6 with 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic and standard AWD. The setup favors smooth everyday driving more than maximum towing or off-road ability.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes automatic emergency braking, Road Departure Mitigation, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise control. Automatic high beams are standard on the RTL-E and Black Edition, and blind spot monitoring is standard on all but the base Sport.
• Infotainment: The Ridgeline uses an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth. SiriusXM is available on all but the base Sport, and navigation is reserved for the RTL-E and Black Edition.
• Fuel efficiency: All models are rated at 21 mpg combined, 18 mpg city, and 24 mpg highway.

Which 2022 Honda Ridgeline trim should I buy?

The 2022 Honda Ridgeline is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, RTL, RTL-E, and Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, but it is the most stripped-down version of the Ridgeline. Choose it only if you want the lowest starting price and are comfortable giving up some convenience and safety equipment.
• RTL: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a more upscale feel without jumping all the way to the top of the range. It is the trim to focus on if you want a balanced mix of comfort and equipment.
• RTL-E: This trim adds more premium tech and convenience, including navigation and automatic high beams. It makes sense if you want a better-equipped Ridgeline without going all the way to the Black Edition.
• Black Edition: This is the most upscale version, with the most distinctive appearance and a fully loaded feel. It suits you best if you want the most premium Ridgeline experience.

Blind spot monitoring is standard on all but the base Sport trim, and automatic high beams are standard on the RTL-E and Black Edition.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Honda Ridgeline?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,053 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.08% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 86.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $29,444, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Honda Ridgeline's resale value?

The current average of $29,444 sits slightly below last year's $32,033.

That decline suggests the Ridgeline has become more affordable for buyers, which can help demand in the near term. For you as a future seller, the current pricing trend means there is less cushion than there was a year ago, so condition and trim choice matter more when it comes time to resell.

The Ridgeline’s appeal to shoppers who want comfort, utility, and a refined driving experience should help support demand. Well-kept examples with strong equipment and clean history should hold up better than neglected ones.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.65/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Honda Ridgeline safe?

The 2022 Honda Ridgeline earns Good IIHS scores in most crash tests, a Superior rating for front-crash prevention tech, and a five-star overall rating from NHTSA with five-star frontal and side crash ratings and four-star rollover ratings.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard, and it includes automatic emergency braking, Road Departure Mitigation, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise control. Blind spot monitoring is standard on all but the base Sport, and automatic high beams are standard on the RTL-E and Black Edition.

There are a few caveats to keep in mind: the Ridgeline received a lower IIHS score in the passenger-side small overlap frontal test, a Marginal headlight rating, and it does not offer a 360-degree camera system.

Should I buy a 2022 Honda Ridgeline or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.08% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.65/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It carries over essentially unchanged after its 2021 facelift, so you get the refined Ridgeline formula without paying for a redesign.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $27,392, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $29,444 average.
• It brings a freshened design and strong everyday usability.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $31,569, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $29,444 average.
• It emphasizes practicality, comfort, and useful storage for daily driving.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the right pick if you want the Ridgeline’s comfort-first approach and a market that still offers decent deal availability. If price is your top priority, the 2021 is the better value play; if you want to spend more for a newer model year, the 2023 is the next step up.
