How much does the 2022 Honda Odyssey cost?

There are 1,804 listings available, which gives you a solid pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2022 Honda Odyssey a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Honda Odyssey earns a 4.7/5 user rating and a 7.00/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Form and function and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, spaciousness, and family-friendly versatility, especially on long trips. The review summary also points to a driving experience that feels easy to live with and practical for daily use.

The trade-offs are familiar: the technology feels outdated, and lower trims can leave you wanting more convenience features. The expert review also notes that rivals do a better job with stylish design and infotainment sophistication.

For you, that means the Odyssey makes the most sense if you value cabin space, comfort, and easy family use more than the latest tech or luxury touches. Even with those compromises, 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which keeps the market reasonably shopper-friendly.

Is the 2022 Honda Odyssey reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner summary points to a minivan that feels dependable in everyday family use, with comfort and versatility that owners can count on over time. The expert review also reinforces that it is built around simple, proven minivan strengths rather than complicated hardware.

Honda’s cost-effectiveness commentary adds that the Odyssey’s straightforward approach is part of its appeal, especially when family life is busy and you want fewer complications. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the core mechanical formula and more about whether prior owners kept up with maintenance and avoided hard use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Honda Odyssey?

At 72.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the van has been used for heavy family duty or long-distance travel. Pay close attention to brake condition, interior wear, and whether the technology and convenience features work as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup starts with the base LX, then moves through EX, EX-L, Touring, and Elite. The base trim leaves out some convenience and safety content that you may want, while higher trims add leather, more tech, and more family-friendly equipment.
• Powertrain: Every version uses a 3.5-liter V6 with 280 horsepower and a 10-speed automatic transmission. It is front-wheel drive only, and there is no all-wheel-drive or electrified option.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, automatic high beams, and a rear-seat reminder. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert require EX or above.
• Infotainment: Starting with EX, you get an 8-inch touchscreen, satellite radio, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Touring is required for navigation and HondaLink connected services, including WiFi hotspot access.
• Fuel efficiency: The expert review cites an EPA estimate of 22 mpg in combined driving, and the test vehicle averaged 22.6 mpg on a mixed route.

Which 2022 Honda Odyssey trim should I buy?

The 2022 Honda Odyssey is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, EX, EX-L, Touring, Elite.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, but it is the most stripped-down version of the Odyssey. If you want the lowest price and can live without the extra convenience and safety features, it gets you into the model.
• EX: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds the 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, satellite radio, and the blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert that are missing from LX.
• EX-L: This trim adds leather upholstery and a more upscale cabin feel, making it a smart step up if you want more comfort without jumping all the way to the pricier upper trims.
• Touring: This is the right pick if you want navigation, HondaLink connected services, CabinWatch, CabinTalk, and the rear-seat entertainment system.
• Elite: This is the most fully equipped version, adding the premium audio system, wireless charging pad, and the most upscale feature set in the lineup.

Honda Sensing is standard across the lineup, but blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert start at EX.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Honda Odyssey?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to shop carefully but still enough deal activity to find value.

• Deal availability: 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,804 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.69% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 72.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $28,016, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Honda Odyssey's resale value?

The current average of $28,016 sits slightly below last year's $31,369.

That decline suggests the market has become a little softer, which can help you as a buyer today but may temper resale expectations later. If you plan to sell in a few years, the current pricing trend means you should expect some depreciation pressure unless the van is especially clean, well maintained, and well equipped.

The good news is that the Odyssey still has strong family appeal, and that tends to support demand in the used market. A well-kept example with desirable features should remain easier to move than a neglected one.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Honda Odyssey safe?

The 2022 Odyssey earns an overall five-star rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and a Top Safety Pick+ rating from Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard on all trims and includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, automatic high-beam headlights, and a rear-seat reminder system. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are reserved for EX and above.

The main caveat is that the system can feel a little abrupt in use, and the expert review notes that the blind-spot warning light placement is less intuitive than it should be. Even so, the Odyssey’s crash-test results and standard driver-assistance coverage make it a strong safety choice in this class.

Should I buy a 2022 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 72.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.69% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 keeps the Odyssey’s enjoyable driving character while maintaining strong safety ratings.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $25,863, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $28,016 average.
• It emphasizes space, safety, and family-friendly usability in a slightly more affordable package.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current pricing, safety, and owner satisfaction, the 2022 is the better all-around pick. If your budget is tighter and you mainly want Odyssey space and practicality, the 2021 is worth a look.
