Used 2022 Honda HR-V for Sale nearMontgomery, AL

How much does the 2022 Honda HR-V cost?

Prices have softened 3.91% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,704 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2022 Honda HR-V a good car?

Yes — the 4.73/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the spacious interior, comfortable seating, and overall value, and the model’s practical packaging makes it especially appealing if you want a small SUV that maximizes everyday usefulness. That fits well if you’re shopping for a value-focused subcompact SUV with a manageable footprint and crossover versatility. With 33.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still offers some attractive opportunities.

Is the 2022 Honda HR-V reliable?

Owners rate it 4.73/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also highlights reliability, with owners describing it as dependable and a vehicle they can count on over time. That reputation lines up with the HR-V’s practical, low-drama ownership appeal, especially if you want something built for steady daily use rather than excitement. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about complexity and more about finding a well-kept example that has been maintained consistently.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Honda HR-V?

At 73.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Put inspection priority on body panels, paint match, alignment, and signs of uneven wear that could point to past collision work. It also makes sense to focus on overall condition and maintenance records, since a clean, well-cared-for example is the safest path in a market where not every listing is accident-free.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Honda HR-V?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,704 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.91% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 73.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $19,715, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Honda HR-V's resale value?

The current average of $20,238 sits slightly below last year's $21,061.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable entry point, but it also suggests resale values may not be climbing quickly in the near term. If you plan to sell later, the HR-V’s value will likely depend on how well it holds buyer interest in a crowded small-SUV market. Strong condition, clean history, and good maintenance will matter a lot when it comes time to trade or list it privately.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.73/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Honda HR-V or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 73.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.91% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.73/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $19,210, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $20,238 average.
• It offers practical comfort and value in a compact package.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $23,660, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $20,238 average.
• It brings a redesigned cabin and more standard safety tech.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best all-around choice if you want a balance of price, owner satisfaction, and shopping flexibility. If your priority is spending less, the 2021 is the better value play; if you want a newer-feeling redesign and can stretch your budget, the 2023 is the upgrade path to consider.
