How much does the 2022 Honda CR-V cost?

Prices have softened 4.59% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,364 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Honda CR-V a good car?

Yes — the 4.77/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the spacious interior, great safety features, and impressive fuel economy, which fits a compact crossover that prioritizes practicality and easy day-to-day use. If you want a roomy, comfortable SUV with low-drama ownership rather than something flashy, this model year lines up well with that use case. With 36.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Honda CR-V reliable?

Owners rate it 4.77/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also leans toward dependable, trouble-free ownership, with praise centered on the CR-V’s practical nature and everyday usability. That kind of response usually matters most when you want a used SUV you can count on for the long haul. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the ownership experience and more about making sure a specific example has been cared for properly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Honda CR-V?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 79% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because even a strong accident-free share does not guarantee the individual listing you’re considering is clean. Put inspection priority on overall condition, especially signs of wear that could affect comfort and daily usability. Focus on how the vehicle presents in person, since this model’s appeal is tied to being a practical, easy-to-live-with SUV.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Honda CR-V?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient.

• Deal availability: 36.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,364 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.59% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 79.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $26,006, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Honda CR-V's resale value?

The current average of $26,388 sits slightly below last year's $27,657.

That softer pricing suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more carefully now but may also temper near-term appreciation if you plan to sell later. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that resale value will likely depend on how well your specific vehicle stands out against a large pool of comparable listings. Strong condition and clean history matter more when the market has plenty of choices.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.77/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Honda CR-V or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 36.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 79% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.59% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.77/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $24,144, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $26,388 average.
• It offers broad appeal with plenty of cargo space and standard advanced safety features.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $28,989, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $26,388 average.
• It adds updated infotainment and safety tech with a redesigned cabin.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best all-around path if you want a well-liked, practical CR-V with strong owner satisfaction and a market that still offers some deal potential. If your priority is saving money, the 2021 is the better secondary path; if you want newer tech and are willing to pay more, the 2023 is the upgrade path to compare.
