How much does the 2022 Genesis GV80 cost?

Is the 2022 Genesis GV80 a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction, and the 2022 Genesis GV80 backs that up with a distinctive luxury midsize SUV design, a beautifully crafted cabin, and a strong mix of equipment and technology. It also offers heated and electrically adjustable front seats, a 14-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and standard safety equipment that includes 10 airbags, collision-avoidance assist with pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane keeping assist, and blind-spot assist. If you want something upscale that feels different from the usual premium SUV choices, this model year fits that brief well, though some features are reserved for higher trims or options and the seats may feel firm to some drivers. 40.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still attractive opportunities in the market.

Is the 2022 Genesis GV80 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2022 Genesis GV80 is described as well-equipped and thoughtfully engineered, with a strong emphasis on safety technology and a polished cabin. Its available powertrains and eight-speed automatic transmission give you a conventional mechanical setup, while the main tradeoffs are more about comfort and efficiency than obvious durability concerns. For used buyers, the biggest long-term ownership risk is ending up with a poorly maintained or lightly equipped example that doesn’t match the model’s premium promise.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Genesis GV80?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a pre-purchase inspection that checks the condition of the cabin, electronics, and any optional equipment. Because some features are trim-dependent, make sure the specific vehicle has the equipment you expect and that everything works as intended. Pay close attention to seat comfort, infotainment operation, and overall wear, since condition and equipment mix matter a lot on a luxury SUV like this.

If you find a listing below $34,113, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Genesis GV80's resale value?

The current average of $34,244 sits slightly below last year's $40,811.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment, since buyers will likely compare your vehicle against a broad pool of similarly priced listings. Well-kept examples with desirable features should hold up better than average.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Genesis GV80 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 40.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.09% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $31,192, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $34,244 average.
• It offers strong value with stylish design, impressive technology, and a luxurious feel.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $38,777, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $34,244 average.
• It adds standard all-wheel drive and broader powertrain choice.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best all-around pick if you want a well-rated, well-equipped GV80 at a softened market price. If your priority is spending less, the 2021 is the smarter value play; if you want to pay more for a newer-feeling setup, the 2023 is the alternative to compare.
