How much does the 2022 Genesis GV70 cost?

There are 789 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Genesis GV70 a good car?

Generally — the 2022 Genesis GV70 earns a 4.09/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating, which points to a strong overall showing. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Technology.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, luxury, and value for money, and many like the spacious interior and high-quality materials. The design also stands out, and the tech package is a recurring strength.

The main trade-offs are the noisy operation and poor handling noted in testing, along with some concerns about missing tech features in the base model and infotainment usability. Even so, the GV70’s upscale feel and strong feature set make it appealing if you want a compact luxury SUV that feels distinctive rather than generic.

With 38.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Genesis GV70 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.09/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels comfortable, luxurious, and value-oriented over time, with many drivers describing it as a model they’d happily live with day to day. The review summary also emphasizes the spacious cabin and high-quality materials, which are the kinds of traits that usually support confidence in long-term ownership.

The expert evaluation adds to that impression with a strong warranty package and complimentary scheduled maintenance, both of which help reduce early ownership friction. That said, the GV70 is still a newer luxury model, so used buyers should pay close attention to service records, electronics, and overall condition before committing.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Genesis GV70?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any candidate, even if the listing looks clean at first glance. A pre-purchase inspection is especially important on a luxury SUV like this, where electronics, interior wear, and drivetrain condition can matter as much as mileage. Focus on whether the cabin, infotainment, and driver-assist features all work as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Base models use leatherette rather than real leather seats, while Sport Prestige models add more distinctive styling and a more upscale cabin presentation.
• Powertrain: The GV70 offers a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 300 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque, plus an available 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 with 375 horsepower and 391 lb-ft of torque; both pair with an eight-speed automatic and standard AWD.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes lane-keep assist, forward-collision warning, blind-spot and forward collision-avoidance assist, rear cross-traffic alert, a driver-attention monitor, Highway Driving Assist, and eight airbags, including a front-center airbag. Highway Driving Assist 2 is optional and adds lane-change functionality plus navigation-based adaptive cruise control with auto-curve slowdown.
• Infotainment: The standard setup uses a 14.5-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and higher trims can add a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 12-inch head-up display.
• Fuel efficiency: The four-cylinder model is rated at 24 mpg combined with 18-inch or 19-inch wheels, 22 mpg combined with 21-inch wheels, and the V6 returns 21 mpg combined.

Which 2022 Genesis GV70 trim should I buy?

The 2022 Genesis GV70 is offered in 4 trim levels: Standard, Select, Advanced, and Sport Prestige.

Here's the short version:

• Standard: This is the entry point, and it already gives you standard AWD, the 14.5-inch touchscreen, and a strong set of driver aids. It makes sense if you want the GV70’s core luxury and tech without stretching for extras.
• Select: This trim adds a step up in equipment over the Standard model, but it is not available with the V6. It’s worth considering if you want more content without jumping all the way to the upper trims.
• Advanced: This is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it sits in the middle of the lineup and should give you a more complete luxury experience without the top-trim price. It’s the trim to target if you want a balanced mix of features and value.
• Sport Prestige: This is the range-topping choice, and it brings the most distinctive styling, including unique exterior details and 21-inch wheels. It suits you best if you want the most upscale presentation and are willing to pay for it.

Safety equipment is standard across the lineup, but Highway Driving Assist 2 is optional rather than standard.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Genesis GV70?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Deal availability: 38.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 789 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.42% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $31,675, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Genesis GV70's resale value?

The current average of $31,675 sits slightly below last year's $34,970.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may temper future resale gains if you sell soon. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that pricing momentum has softened, so condition and trim choice will matter more when it’s time to list the vehicle.

The good news is that the GV70 still has strong appeal thanks to its design, technology, and luxury feel. Those traits can help support demand later, especially if your vehicle is well maintained and equipped with desirable features.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.09/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Genesis GV70 safe?

The GV70 is a new model, so crash-test ratings from IIHS and NHTSA aren’t available yet.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes lane-keep assist, forward-collision warning, blind-spot and forward collision-avoidance assist, rear cross-traffic alert, a driver-attention monitor, Highway Driving Assist, and eight airbags, including a front-center airbag. Optional Highway Driving Assist 2 adds lane-change functionality and navigation-based adaptive cruise control with auto-curve slowdown.

One caveat is that the lane-centering function in Highway Driving Assist couldn’t handle every curve in testing, which limits how seamless the system feels in real-world use.

Should I buy a 2022 Genesis GV70 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 38.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.42% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.09/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It combines bold design, standard AWD, and strong technology in a compact luxury SUV package.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $34,911, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $31,675 average.
• An all-electric model joins the lineup.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2022 is the smarter buy because pricing has eased and the feature set is already strong. If you’re willing to pay more for a newer-year option and the broader lineup, the 2023 is the secondary path to consider.
