Is the 2022 Ford F-150 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a truck that many people feel good about living with over time, especially because it is described as smooth, powerful, and feature-rich. The same feedback also suggests you should pay attention to ownership costs and equipment completeness, since some buyers mention fuel consumption and missing features. For used buyers, that means long-term risk is more about condition, maintenance history, and how the truck was equipped than about broad owner dissatisfaction.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Ford F-150?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on every truck you consider, even if the listing looks clean. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the transmission, electronics, four-wheel-drive operation, and infotainment system, since those are the kinds of areas that can matter most on a used full-size pickup. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and whether the truck’s features actually work as advertised.

Should I buy a 2022 Ford F-150 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.43% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• It introduced the redesigned cabin and hybrid option.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $41,115, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $36,577 average.
• It adds the Raptor R flagship and more special-edition appeal.
