How much does the 2022 Ford F-150 cost?

Prices have softened 9.01% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 23,480 listings available, which gives you a broad pool to compare trims, mileage, and condition.

Is the 2022 Ford F-150 a good car?

Yes — the 4.9/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the smooth ride, advanced technology, and powerful performance, and many also like the wide range of options and features, especially in higher trims. For you, that means this truck fits especially well if you want a versatile full-size pickup that can serve as a work truck, a more upscale daily driver, or an off-road build. With 34.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s still meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2022 Ford F-150 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many shoppers, with praise centered on long-term satisfaction, smooth operation, and confidence in the truck’s overall performance. That said, used buyers should still plan for a careful inspection because long-term ownership risk can rise if you inherit unresolved mechanical or electrical issues.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Ford F-150?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with a history report to confirm accident status, title history, and service records. Then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks for transmission behavior, engine stalling symptoms, four-wheel-drive operation, and any a/c or connectivity issues. Focus on overall condition as well, since the truck’s wide range of trims and equipment means two listings can look similar on paper but differ a lot in wear and maintenance.

What is the 2022 Ford F-150's resale value?

The current average of $36,235 sits slightly below last year's $39,821.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a better entry point today. If you plan to sell later, the current pricing trend means your future resale value will depend heavily on mileage, condition, and trim desirability. Well-kept trucks with strong equipment and clean history should hold up better than average.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Ford F-150 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.01% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $31,813, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $36,235 average.
• It adds a redesigned cabin with more tech and an available hybrid powertrain.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $40,833, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $36,235 average.
• It adds the extreme Raptor R and a more distinctive Heritage Edition.

The 2022 is the best all-around pick if you want a broad mix of capability, features, and market availability. If your budget matters most, the 2021 is the smarter value play; if you want newer special editions and can spend more, the 2023 is the upgrade path.
