Used 2022 Chevrolet Traverse for Sale nearOklahoma City, OK

How much does the 2022 Chevrolet Traverse cost?

Prices have softened 13.16% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 6,003 listings available, which suggests you have a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Traverse a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Chevrolet Traverse earns a 4.9/5 user rating and a 7.2/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

Owners repeatedly praise the spacious interior, the large cargo area, and the helpful safety features. They also highlight the comfortable seating and the strong engine, while some wish for more advanced driving tech and better fuel economy.

That lines up with the Traverse’s role as a practical three-row SUV for families who want space and utility without moving up to a larger full-size SUV. The main trade-offs are a noisy cabin and a ride that can feel floaty over uneven pavement.

Good and great deals account for 36.0% of listings, so there is still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Traverse reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners describe it as dependable and trouble-free overall, with praise centered on the kind of long-term usefulness that matters in a family SUV. The expert evaluation also points to a strong, proven V6 drivetrain and a practical, easy-to-live-with setup that supports everyday confidence.

Chevrolet also includes a first scheduled maintenance visit at no charge, which helps lower early ownership costs.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright durability and more about whether the vehicle has been maintained well and driven gently.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Chevrolet Traverse?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on cabin condition, road noise, and suspension feel, since those are the areas most likely to affect day-to-day satisfaction. It also makes sense to confirm that the technology and driver-assistance features work as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base LS starts with front-wheel drive and the standard safety suite, while higher trims add more convenience and luxury equipment. The RS, Premier, and High Country bring more upscale content, and the Premier and High Country add the vibrating Safety Alert Seat.
• Powertrain: The Traverse uses a 3.6-liter V6 with 310 horsepower and a nine-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is available, and the SUV also offers Tow/Haul, Snow, and Off-Road modes.
• Safety package: Chevy Safety Assist is standard and includes forward-collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, automatic high-beam headlights, and a following-distance indicator. The LS can add a Safety Package with rear parking assist sensors, blind-spot monitoring, lane-change assist, and rear cross-traffic alert; those features are standard on other trims.
• Infotainment: LS and LT Cloth models get a 7-inch touchscreen, while other versions get an 8-inch high-definition display. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, along with Bluetooth for two smartphones and connected services.
• Fuel efficiency: The AWD model is rated at 20 mpg in combined driving, and the test vehicle returned 20.9 mpg on the evaluation loop.

Which 2022 Chevrolet Traverse trim should I buy?

The 2022 Chevrolet Traverse is offered in 7 trim levels: L, LS, LT Cloth, LT Leather, RS, Premier, and High Country.

Here's the short version:

• L: This is the most basic way into the Traverse lineup, but the available information here focuses more on the broader model than on this trim’s unique equipment. If you want the lowest entry point, this is the starting place, but you should expect fewer features than the higher trims.
• LS: This is the key value trim if you want the Traverse’s core strengths without paying for luxury extras. It gets the standard safety suite and can add the optional Safety Package, making it a smart choice if you want to keep costs down while still covering the essentials.
• LT Cloth: This trim steps up from the LS with more comfort-oriented content and the larger 8-inch touchscreen. It is a good middle-ground choice if you want a nicer daily experience without jumping into the pricier trims.
• LT Leather: This trim adds a more upscale cabin feel and can be optioned with the extra driver-assistance upgrades that are standard on higher trims. It suits you if you want more comfort but do not need the full premium treatment.
• RS: This is the style-forward choice, with blacked-out trim and dark gray 20-inch wheels. It also gets the Bose premium sound system and the upgraded safety content that includes adaptive cruise control and rear pedestrian alert.
• Premier: This is the best-value upscale trim if you want a more premium Traverse experience. It adds the 8-inch digital instrumentation panel and the vibrating Safety Alert Seat, and it sits in the sweet spot between luxury content and top-end pricing.
• High Country: This is the top trim for shoppers who want the most upscale version of the Traverse. It includes the same premium safety and convenience upgrades as the Premier, plus the highest-positioned trim treatment in the lineup.

Chevy Safety Assist is standard on all Traverse trim levels, while the optional Safety Package on the LS and the extra driver-assistance features on higher trims help narrow the gap as you move up the lineup.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Chevrolet Traverse?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 36.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 6,003 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.16% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 80.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $24,318, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Chevrolet Traverse's resale value?

The current average of $24,318 sits slightly below last year's $28,003.

That drop suggests the Traverse has already moved into a more buyer-friendly pricing zone, which can help you if you are shopping now. For a future seller, it means there may be less room for appreciation unless the vehicle is especially well kept or unusually well equipped. The good news is that a lower entry price can also support demand from used buyers who want space and practicality without paying new-SUV money.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Traverse safe?

The Traverse gets top “Good” ratings in collision-related tests except in a more stringent side-impact test, where it rates “Acceptable.”

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Chevy Safety Assist is standard on all trim levels and includes forward-collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, automatic high-beam headlights, and a following-distance indicator. The LS can add a Safety Package with rear parking assist sensors, blind-spot monitoring, lane-change assist, and rear cross-traffic alert, while those features are standard on the other trims.

A key caveat is that the Traverse does not offer a more advanced system that combines adaptive cruise control with lane-centering assist.

Should I buy a 2022 Chevrolet Traverse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 36.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.16% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 brings wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus standard Chevy Safety Assist.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $20,985, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $24,318 average.
• It offers a wide trim spread and a spacious, practical three-row layout.

The bottom line: If you want the better-equipped and more current used Traverse, the 2022 is the stronger pick. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2021 is the better value path, especially if you can find one in good condition with the features you want.
