Used 2022 Chevrolet Traverse for Sale nearColorado Springs, CO

How much does the 2022 Chevrolet Traverse cost?

Prices have softened 13.12% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 6,038 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing prices and trims.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Traverse a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Chevrolet Traverse earns a 4.86/5 user rating and a 7.17/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise the spacious interior, helpful safety features, and powerful engine, while also calling out the large cargo area and comfortable seating. The Traverse also fits well if you want a three-row SUV with easy-to-use technology and a practical, family-focused layout.

The trade-offs are clear: the cabin materials feel cheap, it can be noisy, and it has excessive float on uneven pavement. Even so, it makes sense if you want space and utility without moving up to a larger full-size SUV.

Good and great deals account for 37.2% of listings, so you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Traverse reliable?

Owners rate it 4.86/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners describe it as dependable and trouble-free overall, with praise centered on the engine, interior space, and day-to-day usefulness. The powertrain is presented as a strong, well-matched setup for the vehicle’s size, and the overall ownership experience appears to inspire confidence.

Chevrolet also includes a first scheduled maintenance visit at no charge, which helps lower early ownership costs. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure prior use and maintenance were consistent, since condition will matter more than the model’s broad reputation.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Chevrolet Traverse?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with optional equipment. Focus on cabin condition, tire wear, and signs that the vehicle was used heavily in city traffic or on rough pavement. If possible, test the infotainment, driver-assistance features, and ride quality on a road with bumps and dips.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base LS starts with front-wheel drive and a 7-inch touchscreen, while higher trims add more upscale equipment and styling. The RS sits above the LS and LT models, and the Premier and High Country trims bring additional luxury touches, including a digital instrument panel.
• Powertrain: You get one engine choice: a 3.6-liter V6 with 310 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. It is tuned for everyday family use, with available front-drive operation and optional all-wheel drive.
• Safety package: Chevy Safety Assist is standard and includes forward-collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, automatic high-beam headlights, and a following-distance indicator. The optional Safety Package on the LS adds rear parking assist sensors, blind-spot monitoring, lane-change assist, and rear cross-traffic alert; those features are standard on other trims.
• Infotainment: LS and LT Cloth models get a 7-inch touchscreen, while other versions use an 8-inch high-definition display. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, along with Bluetooth for two smartphones and connected services; navigation, SiriusXM 360L, and Alexa Built-in are available on the larger system.
• Fuel efficiency: The AWD model is rated at 20 mpg in combined driving, and the test vehicle returned 20.9 mpg on the evaluation loop.

Which 2022 Chevrolet Traverse trim should I buy?

The 2022 Chevrolet Traverse is offered in 7 trim levels: L, LS, LT Cloth, LT Leather, RS, Premier, and High Country.

Here's the short version:

• L: This is the entry point, but the available information emphasizes the LS and higher trims more clearly, so you should treat the L as the most basic choice if price matters most.
• LS: This is the best-value starting point if you want the Traverse’s core space, technology, and standard safety equipment without paying for extras.
• LT Cloth: This trim adds a step up in equipment while keeping the Traverse’s practical family focus intact, making it a sensible middle-ground choice.
• LT Leather: Choose this if you want a more upscale cabin and are interested in available upgrades such as adaptive cruise control.
• RS: This is the style-forward pick, with blacked-out trim, dark gray 20-inch wheels, and standard Bose audio; it suits buyers who want a more distinctive look.
• Premier: This trim adds more luxury and convenience, including the digital instrument panel and the Safety Alert Seat.
• High Country: This is the top-end choice for shoppers who want the most upscale Traverse experience and the fullest feature set.

Chevy Safety Assist is standard on all trims, while the LS’s extra safety package is optional and those features are standard on the other trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Chevrolet Traverse?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and pricing softness to reward careful shopping.

• Deal availability: 37.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 6,038 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.12% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 81.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $24,645, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Chevrolet Traverse's resale value?

The current average of $24,645 sits slightly below last year's $28,366.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price, you reduce the risk of taking a bigger depreciation hit later. The strongest resale candidates will be well-kept examples with clean history reports and desirable equipment.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.86/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Traverse safe?

The Traverse gets top “Good” ratings in collision-related tests except in a more stringent side-impact test, where it rates “Acceptable.”

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Chevy Safety Assist is standard on all trims and includes forward-collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, automatic high-beam headlights, and a following-distance indicator. The LS can be equipped with an optional Safety Package that adds rear parking assist sensors, blind-spot monitoring, lane-change assist, and rear cross-traffic alert; those features are standard on the other trims.

A key caveat is that the Traverse does not offer a more advanced system with adaptive cruise control plus lane-centering assist. If that combination matters to you, you’ll need to look elsewhere.

Should I buy a 2022 Chevrolet Traverse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 37.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.12% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.86/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus standard Chevy Safety Assist across the lineup.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $21,360, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $24,645 average.
• It offers a wide trim spread and a spacious, practical family-focused layout.

The bottom line: If you want the better-equipped and more current used Traverse, the 2022 is the stronger pick thanks to its updated tech and standard safety content. If your priority is saving money, the 2021 is the better value play, especially if you can find one in good condition with the trim and equipment you want.
