Used 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer for Sale nearRaleigh, NC

How much does the 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer cost?

Prices have softened 8.72% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,642 listings available, which suggests you should have a workable range of choices.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer a good car?

Generally — the 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer earns a 4.33/5 user rating and a 6.67/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its stylish design, comfortable and functional interior, and smooth ride. The Trailblazer also gets credit for being a great value in the LT package, and its easy-to-use technology is another recurring plus.

The trade-offs are clear: the interior materials feel cheap, and some drivers note ride-quality concerns and a lack of horsepower. That makes it a better fit if you want a personality-rich small SUV for everyday use rather than a premium-feeling or especially quick one.

With its spacious packaging and broad appeal to younger and older shoppers alike, it works best as a practical city-friendly crossover with style. Good and great deals account for 33.7% of listings, so there is some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer reliable?

Owners rate it 4.33/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels comfortable, functional, and easy to live with over time. That kind of response usually matters most when you’re shopping used, because it suggests the Trailblazer is more likely to deliver a trouble-free ownership experience than a frustrating one.

Its smooth ride and practical everyday character also support the idea that it’s built for regular use rather than constant fussing. Chevrolet’s standard maintenance visit perk helps a little on the ownership side, but you should still budget carefully and inspect any used example for signs of hard use or deferred upkeep.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a cheap-looking cabin and modest powertrain may age less gracefully if the vehicle has been neglected.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because accident-free listings are common but not universal. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on interior condition, suspension behavior, and how the drivetrain feels on a test drive. Since this model’s value story is mixed, condition matters a lot more than mileage alone.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Trailblazer’s styling works even in base trim, but the cabin uses a lot of hard plastic, and the LT is the trim Chevrolet itself points to as the smarter buy.
• Powertrain: Skip the standard 1.2-liter turbo three-cylinder if you can; the 1.3-liter turbo three-cylinder is the better choice, and AWD brings a more satisfying nine-speed automatic.
• Safety package: Chevy Safety Assist is standard and includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, and automatic high-beam headlights. Blind-spot warning with lane-change assistance, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control are available.
• Infotainment: You get a 7-inch or 8-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, Bluetooth, and Chevrolet Connected Services readiness. The larger screen adds Alexa Built-In, Spotify, and SiriusXM access.
• Fuel efficiency: The test vehicle returned 26.1 mpg in combined driving, versus an official EPA rating of 28 mpg.

Which 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer trim should I buy?

The 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer is offered in 5 trim levels: L, LS, LT, Activ, and RS.

Here's the short version:

• L: This is the entry point, but the Trailblazer’s styling still works here. It makes sense only if you want the lowest starting price and can live without the nicer equipment and available AWD.
• LS: This is the next step up, but it still leaves you wanting more if you care about value. It’s a reasonable middle ground only if you’re keeping the budget tight.
• LT: This is the best-value trim. It’s the one the expert review points to as the smarter choice, and it lines up best with the Trailblazer’s strengths in technology, practicality, and everyday usability.
• Activ: Choose this if you want the more rugged-looking version with off-road suspension tuning, sport-terrain tires, and a front skid plate. It’s the trim for buyers who like the look and want a little extra dirt-road confidence.
• RS: Pick this if style matters most. It brings the sportier appearance and the more powerful engine setup, but it can get expensive quickly, so it’s best for shoppers who are willing to pay for the look and feel.

Chevy Safety Assist is standard across the lineup, so you don’t need to move up a trim just to get the core safety suite.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it pays to compare listings carefully and move quickly on strong examples.

• Deal availability: 33.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,642 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.72% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 84.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,968, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer's resale value?

The current average of $18,968 sits slightly below last year's $20,780.

That price movement suggests the Trailblazer has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right price. If you overpay now, though, you may have a harder time recovering that money later because the market has already moved down.

For a future seller, the key is to buy a clean, well-equipped example that still feels desirable to used shoppers. The Trailblazer’s style, technology, and practicality should help it hold attention, but value-conscious buyers will still compare it closely against rivals.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.33/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer safe?

The Trailblazer earns top crash-test ratings from both the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Chevy Safety Assist is standard, and it includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, and automatic high-beam headlights. You also get 10 airbags, a rear-seat reminder system, and Teen Driver technology.

Blind-spot warning with lane-change assistance, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control are available, so some of the more advanced driver aids depend on trim or option selection. The good news is that the core safety package is standard, which helps the Trailblazer feel well equipped even in lower trims.

Should I buy a 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 33.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.72% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.33/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It adds a heated steering wheel and a dealer-installed trailering package for the year.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $17,184, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $18,968 average.
• It offers stylish design and easy-to-use technology at a lower entry price.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $21,122, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $18,968 average.
• It adds new paint choices and keeps the Trailblazer’s modern small-SUV formula.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best all-around pick if you want the strongest mix of price, features, and market availability. If you’re especially price-sensitive, the 2021 is the better value play, while the 2023 makes sense only if you want the newer model-year pricing and are comfortable paying more.
