Used 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer for Sale nearColorado Springs, CO

How much does the 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer cost?

Prices have softened 8.72% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,616 listings available, which suggests you have a decent amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer a good car?

Generally — the 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer earns 4.33/5 from owners and 6.67/10 from our experts. The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its stylish design, comfortable and functional interior, and smooth ride. The Trailblazer also gets credit for being spacious and for offering easy-to-use technology, which fits its role as a practical small SUV for everyday use.

The trade-offs are clear: interior materials feel cheap, and some drivers note a lack of horsepower. That makes it a better fit if you value personality, usability, and a friendly driving experience more than premium cabin feel or strong acceleration.

With a 35.0% share of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer reliable?

Owners rate it 4.33/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels comfortable, functional, and easy to live with over time. That kind of response usually matters most when you want a used SUV you can count on for daily driving without a lot of drama.

The expert evaluation also supports that impression by emphasizing the Trailblazer’s practical, easy-to-use nature and its straightforward ownership experience. Chevrolet’s included maintenance visit and short connected-services trials add a little ownership value, even if they do not transform the deal.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the Trailblazer’s lower-cost feel and modest powertrain may age less gracefully if you expect a more refined or robust small SUV.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 83% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a vehicle history report on any candidate, even if the listing looks clean. After that, prioritize a close inspection of the cabin, because the Trailblazer’s value proposition depends heavily on condition and equipment working as expected.

Pay extra attention to whether the specific trim and drivetrain match your needs, since the Trailblazer’s character changes meaningfully with equipment. If you want the best everyday balance, focus on the features that make the SUV easier to use rather than chasing the highest sticker price.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Trailblazer comes in L, LS, LT, Activ, and RS trim levels. The base L still looks good, but the cabin uses hard plastic, and the more expensive trims are where you’ll find the stronger visual appeal and more desirable equipment. The LT is the trim the expert review points to as the better value starting point.
• Powertrain: The Trailblazer uses turbocharged three-cylinder engines. The 1.2-liter engine makes 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque, while the 1.3-liter engine makes 155 hp and 174 lb-ft. Front-wheel drive uses a CVT, while AWD brings a nine-speed automatic and a more sophisticated rear suspension.
• Safety package: Chevy Safety Assist is standard and includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, and automatic high-beam headlights. Blind-spot warning with lane-change assistance, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control are available. Every Trailblazer also gets 10 airbags, a rear-seat reminder, and Teen Driver technology.
• Infotainment: The Trailblazer offers a 7-inch or 8-inch touchscreen. Standard equipment includes Bluetooth, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and Chevrolet Connected Services capability, including a WiFi hotspot. The system also supports Teen Driver reporting, and the larger screen can add Alexa Built-In, Spotify, SiriusXM, and wireless charging.
• Fuel efficiency: The expert test vehicle averaged 26.1 mpg in combined driving, and the official EPA fuel-economy rating is 28 mpg.

Which 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer trim should I buy?

The 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer is offered in 5 trim levels: L, LS, LT, Activ, and RS.

Here's the short version:

• L: This is the entry point, and it still benefits from the Trailblazer’s appealing styling. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the model, but the cabin’s hard-plastic feel and limited equipment make it the least compelling choice overall.
• LS: This trim adds a step up from the base model while keeping the Trailblazer’s core strengths intact. It works if you want a simple, affordable version and do not need the richer feature content of the higher trims.
• LT: This is the best-value trim. The expert review specifically points you toward the LT, and it is the trim where remote engine start begins. If you want the strongest mix of price, usability, and equipment, this is the one to target.
• Activ: Choose this if you want the more rugged-looking version with off-road suspension tuning, sport-terrain tires, and a front skid plate. It is the trim for buyers who like the idea of a more adventurous appearance and a little extra dirt-road confidence.
• RS: This is the style-forward choice, with 18-inch aluminum wheels and a sportier personality. It suits you best if you want the most expressive look and do not mind paying more for it.

Chevy Safety Assist is standard across the lineup, while blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control remain available rather than standard.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient.

• Deal availability: 35.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,616 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.72% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 83.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,835, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer's resale value?

The current average of $18,835 sits slightly below last year's $20,634.

That price movement suggests the Trailblazer has already absorbed some of its recent depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right number. If you pay close to the current average, your room for upside is limited, but a well-bought example should still hold up reasonably well in the used market.

The model’s broad appeal, practical size, and strong owner satisfaction should help keep demand steady. Buyers tend to respond well to small SUVs that are easy to live with, and that supports resale value over time.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.33/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer safe?

The 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer earns top crash-test ratings from both the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Chevy Safety Assist is standard, and it includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, and automatic high-beam headlights. Every Trailblazer also comes with 10 airbags, a rear-seat reminder system, and Teen Driver technology.

If you want more advanced assistance, blind-spot warning with lane-change assistance, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control are available. That means you should confirm the exact equipment on any used listing, especially if you want the extra driver-assistance features.

Should I buy a 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 35.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 83% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.72% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.33/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It adds a heated steering wheel and a trailering package option.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $17,006, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $18,835 average.
• It launched the Trailblazer nameplate as a stylish, tech-friendly entry-level SUV.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $20,927, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $18,835 average.
• It adds new paint choices and keeps the Trailblazer focused on affordable everyday usefulness.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the right pick if you want the best balance of price, features, and current-market availability. If you are especially price-sensitive, the 2021 can save you money, but the 2022 is the safer all-around buy when you want a newer used Trailblazer with strong inventory and a softer price trend.
