Is the 2022 Chevrolet Colorado a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Chevrolet Colorado earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its smooth performance, towing capacity, and roomy cabin, and it also stands out as a practical fit for families and everyday use. Is the 2022 Chevrolet Colorado reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The same reviews also highlight its towing ability and roomy cabin, which reinforces the sense that it can handle regular use without feeling fragile. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure you avoid examples with unresolved mechanical or condition issues.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Chevrolet Colorado?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still review the history report carefully and confirm there are no hidden accident or title issues. If possible, focus on examples that feel clean, well-kept, and consistent with the mileage and asking price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Chevrolet Colorado?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the best listings.

• Deal availability: 35.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,899 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.92% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 80.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,285, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Chevrolet Colorado's resale value?

The current average of $25,285 sits slightly below last year's $28,069.

That softer pricing suggests the truck has become more accessible to used buyers, which can help demand in the near term. For a future seller, it also means your resale outcome will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim appeal rather than broad market appreciation. Well-kept examples should still hold interest because shoppers continue to value the Colorado’s utility and everyday usability.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Chevrolet Colorado or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 35.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.92% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $33,176, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $25,285 average.
• It brings a redesigned, crew-cab-only layout with more modern tech and a turbocharged four-cylinder.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2022 if you want a lower entry price and a broader mix of listings to choose from. If you can stretch your budget and want the newer redesign, the 2023 is the better secondary path for buyers who prioritize updated tech and a more modern truck layout.
